  1. That's awesome! And also what it always boils down to: personal taste, make what works for you
  2. Yes, I was referring to the tracked "Offshore Drilling" ending on "Chutes And Matter". I'm used to hearing that cue in it's film version, so that's my preference. It was easy to create, just turn it down 1 semitone and it matches as heard in the film. The choir in "Nice To Meld You" is actually quite stunning! I can't believe I never noticed before when watching it. Just one of those "awe" moments. But even with these newest "additions" to the score, what's one more thing you would add to make it the perfect edit? I'm torn between certain drum inserts and the choir in "Narada Burns".
  3. So with these "leaked" choir cues from the recording sessions and the "Chutes And Matter" insert at the end, what is left to make it the perfect score? Alt Main Titles, Correct opening to "I've Fallen And I Can't Beam Up", and the choir from "Nero Fiddles, Narada Burns" (which is fine with Data's edit)? Is that it? Which reminds me, anyone notice the additional Ehru in "Welcome Back, Spock"? Pretty cool stuff!
  4. I have them as well, which is why I was asking. I was wondering if anyone knew where they came from? They sound pretty authentic to me.
  5. So, just out of curiosity, have the cues with the missing choir ever turned up?
  6. I liked the one in Contact. It's beautifully shot...you see them struggling on the video monitor....crazy guy hits the detonator....screen goes blank and you see the explosion in the distance. Pretty neat! (if you stayed awake long enough to reach that part anyway)
  7. Listening to this release makes me appreciate all the hard work that you put into your edit, Data. That has been a real joy these past 6-7 months. It's not entirely obsolete yet...it may prove handy for certain cues and sections that did not make it. Thanks again!
  8. I like JNH's work on the Fugitive. The main theme was okay, but I enjoyed the chase and fight sequences. Unbreakable is another good one IMO. The scene in the train station where Bruce reads people (Visions)...fantastic music.
  9. That's actually pretty damn funny! So how is everything turning out? Is the project a success for everyone? If so, I may do the same thing...but all I have is ACID Studio. Hope that will be enough
  10. Thanks for all input on this. I'll definitely work something out.
  11. Lol! Love the enthusiasm! That's good to know it runs in film order. So is Willow's Theme a concert suite?
  12. I'm not that familiar with the score (other than recognizing it for its amazing themes) and was wondering if the score itself is chronological to the film? I want to make shorter tracks for my iTunes. Just my personal tastes....an 18 minute track doesn't work for me. How would any of you break this score down into shorter chronological tracks?
  13. Are you sure you didn't get addware on your computer? I'm going to check . So far this has been working wonders for me Ad Muncher See if that works for ya
  14. I'm glad I'm not the only one who caught on to the danger motif growing up. I remember hearing it in Mask of Zorro and thinking of Willow. I used to be put off by it, but now...I'll hear it in random Horner movies like Jack The Bear or Enemy At The Gates and just bust out laughing. To me, Horner seems to be the William Shatner of the composer world. Nice at first, then you catch on and are annoyed at his antics, and then you fall in love with him because of them. At which point you just roll your eyes and say: Horner can do no wrong. Which is awesome (and yet...annoying)! I voted Star Trek BTW.
  15. That's great I remember back in 2002 seeing it as "JOHN WILLIAMS LEGEND OF ZELDA" on Kazaa. So it's like they hyped it by throwing a popular name on it. I believe something similar happened on Kazaa/Limewire/Whatever when the score for Revenge Of The Sith was "leaked" and it was actually Shadows Of The Empire. Funny thing was my friend actually bragged to me about it when he downloaded SOTE. He was so happy to one-up me on Star Wars that he didn't know it wasn't the ROTS score.
  16. John Williams! I knew it! I really don't think it's John Williams at all. It's from Orchestral Game Concert Volume 1 by the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra (My link). One YouTube commentator said that Williams arranged it, but I can't find it mentioned anywhere in the CD Liner notes. Unless somebody here knows something that I don't? Still fabulous sounding though.
  17. The Imperial March is definitely a stand out here. Like AZOutcast above me, I too got this at a young age in 1995 on cassette (I have since purchased the CD). I popped it into my Dad's tape deck in the truck and it started to fast forward and reverse sides on it's own (that thing had to be possessed), so the first track I heard was Forest Battle. WOW! It blew me away because before then, I had only heard that as a MIDI from Super Return Of The Jedi SNES game (I wasn't exposed to the anthology until XMAS 1995). With each track, my love grew for this music. Yes some of the tracks have an extreme tempo difference then what we know and love, but these recordings are no less wonderful. The little things are what makes this pay off. As I said before, the Imperial March is top notch. Yoda's theme is strong. Luke & Leia, Forest Battle and Princess Leia are well defined here. I consider them to be different but wonderful takes on the themes. The Throne Room is pure magic (especially at 3:25). Heck even the Main Theme's drawn out beginning is cool because it's different but familiar. To me, the weak links are the Little People, Cantina, and Here They Come. And it is a shame about the Han Solo and the Princess arrangement not being on there. Other then that, just great stuff! This CD has earned it's place next to my Star Wars scores.
  18. Did you notice the "Palpatine's Big Pitch" track in the cutscene after you defeat Maris Brood?
