Yeah, I missed out on Predator. For a couple days, I felt scared (because I don't think I'll have funds for any of this for a couple months :/ ), but now I have just accepted the fact that I might not get to have these goodies...or that I will be spending extra money on them someday on eBay. I am starting to have recurring dreams of me winning the lottery.

Home Alone has always had a special place in my heart. I watched it like 40 times when I was a kid. And the theme always puts a smile on my face. I'll go for this for sure!

I'm embarrassed to say that I am not that familiar with this score. I have only recently begun familiarizing myself with the earlier Trek scores (besides TMP, which I've loved for long time). Even being not familiar with it, I am extremely excited for this...somehow I know it is awesome. Must be the Force....er...wrong franchise. Actually, I imagine it to be awesome because I love mr. Goldsmith, and I love TMP, Insurrection and First Contact. I am curious how people rate ST:V agains Jerry's other Trek scores.

Complete Cue List: The Lost World: Jurassic Park

I recently got Magix Audio Cleaning Lab, but haven't taught myself how to do the spectral cleaning stuff yet. I hope it isn't too complicated! I can't wait to try it out. -
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's (Philosopher's) Stone

For me, adding woodwinds doesn't mess any of the scary stuff up. I do feel the same about POA otherwise. I even made myself a complete edit of the score and after listening a few times, I too only really am wanting just a few of the unreleased cues. There is some great stuff in PoA but it doesn't connect to me like it does others on the boards. -

Is it the 'spectral cleaning' feature that you guys are using to remove sounds? -

Lots of these moments for me but here are the ones off the top of my head... Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone: 'Hedwig's Time Transition/ A Change of Season' (gorgeous!), 'Leaving Hogwarts' (very end of the film) StepMom: Taking Pictures - when the harp gliss/ oboe comes in. Beautiful! Many, many parts of A. I. Phantom Menace: the force theme when Anakin leaves his home. -

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's (Philosopher's) Stone

I am sorry if this has already been discussed (I scanend through the thread looking for it)... Does anyone know where the tracked statement of 'hedwig's theme' during the cue "You're a Wizzard, Harry" (in the film) comes from? I've listened to the RS like 3 times now and I must be missing it. In the film, the whole middle of the cue is dialed out, and the first half is 'ended' with this tracked statement. Curiosity is killing me! Thanks in advance. -
Nice! I have been craving some of that Arnold sound for a while! I am pumped for this!

Yes, indeed! I don't want to get my hopes up too much for Hook...and I don't even know if I'll have much in the way of funds at that point. I guess I should start selling stuff just in case!... Assuming I had the money, Hook would be an instant purchase for me. I can't remember if the whole score + alternates fits onto two discs or three...

A tighter listening experience...I guess that makes sense. Just odd what bits get cut. And now for my next question, anyone know if the SS DVD has the trailers in 5.1 (for cleaner ripping), or are they only rippable with the dialog. I'd check meself but I lent my HP movies to a buddy. -

Ah, I have been looking at these headphones to buy! They seem pretty awesome from reviews. So, does anyone know what the point of the micro-edits on the OST? Why edit tiny snipits out of 'Freindly Reptile' ('trip to the zoo' on the OST), bits from the Gringots Bank sequence, and like 6 sec from HWW? Sorry if this is common knowledge. I don't get the reasons. -

I'm with Datameister on this one. Sure, I find it bothersome sometimes to hear the crappy sfx over unreleased music in my DVD rip edits, but I also find it cool when the complete score IS actually released/ leaked because it's a special moment to me when I can chuck my DVD-ripped sections and hear the music clean and clear. Dang...I sound like a nerd. I do completely understand the hatred for DVD-rips, I guess I am just able to tolerate the sfx knowing that someday (hopefully) the complete score will be released. -

yeah, I remember thinking the same thing...it HAS to be on the OST. This was back in the days that I couldn't understand why soundtracks weren't just released complete to begin with...was always getting angry about my favorite moments not being on the OST Good times. Listening to the complete score is really making me wish Mr. Williams will be announced for HP7 Pt 2. It's all such good music, I wish there was more. But hey, I should be grateful that this stuff even showed up. I am always wondering how stuff gets 'leaked' anyway. Kind of weird for 9 years after the film for the sessions to randomly plop out on the net. -
Will you get the Extended Collector's Edition of Avatar?
MrJosh replied to Josh500's topic in General Discussion
You've seen Dance With Wolves ? Then you've seen Avatar. You've seen Pocahontas ? Then you've seen Avatar. You've seen Ferngully ? Then you've seen Avatar. You've seen Smurfs in Space ? You can't have, it doesn't exist. Then you must watch Avatar ! Fern Gully is pretty awesome... -

I remember wanting the 'Entry into the Great Hall' cue after I first saw the movie in the theatre, and then I remember being disappointed that it wasn't on the OST. And sure, by ripping the DVD I could sort of assemble an okay sounding edit of it, but oh man was it nice to hear that cue free of any annoying sfx! -

I too am having some quality time with that original Diagon Alley cue. Until like a month ago, I wasn't aware that there were PDF scores floating around so the cue was a complete mystery to me. All these years I've wondered...and now finally I hear it! -
Thanks, Data! Good to know! I feel smarter now.

Goodmusician, please forgive my ignorance but I have a question regarding the cues in COS list that say "(TRACKED)." Does this mean that there aren't actually new cues recorded (for 8m4, 8m6 for example), but it was planned to track music from other cues into those spots? Again, sorry if it is a dumb question and thanks for the awesome post!

Good.....Lord. I have been away for a few days and had to pick my jaw up from off the floor....this is exciting news! And to think that I just finished making a SS edit with rear-channel rips Can't wait to listen to it all! -
Hey, that's a really interesting idea! I know that some here don't care for the StepMom score too much, but I personally find it very delightful and beautiful in spots. I'd be pretty excited to have a complete version, and it would be very interesting to hear Doyle's original.

As strange as it sounds, Alien Resurrection has always been one of my 'holy grail' scores, so I am way excited for this release! John Frizzell really managed to somehow take the warmth out of the orchestra (in a good way) and some of the quieter moments in the score are just spooky, eerie and haunting. And like the description says, there is plenty of adrenaline-pumping action music.

yeah....much too expensive for me. If something like this happened for Williams I would have to sell all my belongings.
