  1. Since it's tape sourced, it doesn't have the vinyl problems like background hum and some scratches (although minimal) which are audible on the Prometheus release, if you listen carefully. But either they got a very clean and perfectly preserved vinyl or they did an amazing restoration because that release always sounded great.
  2. I wonder how much marijuana was consumed by JW and Yamash'ta when they were working on this.
  3. I had to scrap what I just wrote because Jay has the fastest fingers on the internet.

  5. Yes!! I always wondered how on earth a proper presentation of the sacrificial scenes unreleased music can be put together for an album presentation without excluding anything. Only MM can do this.
  6. How often do I actually listen to Schindler’s List? Hardly ever. Too many names there. It takes forever to finish.
  7. Well... yes, you're right. But ToD first. I was gonna say EXACTLY the same thing.
  8. The only thing I need is a decent sounding ToD expanded release. Everything else, I can patiently and happily wait for. A dear friend of mine heard through the grapevines that there's some unreleased stuff from ToD floating around (not from the podcasts) that sounds so good that makes you wanna puke when you listen again to the 2008 god-awful sound quality. We need MM and Bruce Botnick urgently to work on ToD when the time comes.
  9. Hmm. So I guess we're stuck with the Concord masters for... a while.
  10. Does the music belongs to Disney? I know the films up to Indy 5 don't. But I have no clue about the music rights.
  11. I like when a new Indy film is announced because it gives me hope of expanded editions of the trilogy. It happened back in 2008, so it may happen in 2022. Hope never dies (that's my mother-in-law).
  12. KotCS is considered a bonus feature, not a film. That's the "bonus disc" they're talking about.
  13. The detailed tech specs and bonus features will be announced in the future... ...hopefully with a soundtrack announcement as well.
  14. With the official announcement today of the 4K Blu-ray, who knows... we might get complete 192kHz/24bit releases of everything. If not, at least we'll have the music in Dolby Atmos in the 4K Blu-ray.
  15. I just finished rewatching the grindhouse 35mm print of ESB. Even in a somewhat beat-up copy, it still quite an experience to watch it this way. It gives a nice example of how it was to watch in a movie theater back in the day. And with the optical sound and everything. Like I said before, it gives you a perfect LCR+Mono Surround channel separation if you decode the sound with Dolby Pro-Logic. That's impressive, coming from an optical sound print. The are some advances in Project 4K80 since I last checked it. Looks like we might see some good news soon. https://www.thestarwarstrilo
  16. Interesting article... https://nofilmschool.com/John-Williams-Thief
  17. ANOTHER vinyl? OMG, I didn't imagine Disney was gonna be worse than Sony.
  18. What did you say that made him mad like that? Did you say Jerry Goldsmith was better?
  19. I lured him out of his house once...
