  1. Yeah. It was first for DS and felt like a really fast spiritual successor to Brain Age. I didn't play the Wii one as much as the DS one.
  2. New Big Brain! I always loved this one more than Brain Age. It had a little more fun and personality to it. Brain Age was very academic, which was fine and good because that's what it was going for. This one wanted you to use your noggin but have some fun too. Easy pickup for me.
  3. Nami freaking knocked it out of the park with Medal of Honor, so I hope this is just as good.
  4. This has been my dream for such a long time.
  5. I specifically remember that it took me between April and July of 1997 to finish Super Mario 64 with 120 stars. When it came out with the collection last year, I finished it in less than 24 hours. I think its a familiarity thing too. I took me forever to get through FF7 when I played it 4 or so years ago for the first time.
  6. I remember playing Ocarina in 2008 for its 10th anniversary and I had a hard time play other games after it. I thought the 3DS remake was excellent. The Majora's Mask one not as much. You can tell they had less time and budget on that one.
  7. I always wanted a spinoff of the sneaking into the castle thing from Ocarina of Time like Captain Toad was to Mario 3D World.
  8. People need to do that sort of thing more often. It's like when gamers hate buy something so they can whine about it, then they whine about how bad it is...but they supported the thing. Sometimes bad press ultimately sells something more than people not getting caught up in the hate. That's what happened with Ghostbusters 2016.
  9. The "hate" was only because when people plainly said "it's not funny", the creators started acting like victims and pretending that people not liking it was actually bigoted attacks.
  10. You know, I even tried to look....but not enough.
  11. It's unforgettable. I just wish that first note didn't have that weird cutoff. They did a Zelda compilation album and included this track and the weird edit was still in there, so it wasn't a goof with the game file or something. Haven't gotten to the end of the HD version to see if they bothered to fix it. I'm really curious.
  12. I mean, it's cheap just bringing in every freaking actor ever who's been in any live action Spider-Man movie ever, but it'll get butts in seats. Mine included.
  13. Skyward Sword is kind of Mario 3D World era Nintendo game making. It's where things were starting to get a little long in the tooth for both. 3D World was just a console version 3D Land, but it WAS good. People just couldn't get past that main fact and couldn't give it a chance. That's fair, all things considered. Skyward Sword was the fifth 3D Zelda, basically doing the same formula. It also talked you to death. It came during a time when Nintendo games were way overdue for being in HD. Then people were unfortunately sick of motion controls at the time, so while it was a fun game, the music was INCREDIBLE, and it was a great demo for Motion Plus being used in a real game, people just weren't willing to look past those negatives. Beyond that, its a fairly typical Zelda and yeah, long in the tooth a bit. People appreciate 3D World more after knowing that's not the direction Mario went in, evidenced by Odyssey, and it seems like Skyward Sword is the same way, where Breath of the Wild freshened it up, so you can look at SS as not dragging on in that direction forever. I don't think I know anyone who's favorite 3D Zelda is Skyward Sword (I can think of one person at least I know in real life who loves every other 3D Zelda best), but it's a fine game, and hopefully one that gets more a chance than it did in 2011, and it sure as hell deserved and needed another chance today.
  14. I claim that too. The sensor bar makes a HUGE difference with aiming. You don't have the cursor drifting all the time while you're trying to aim and an IR pointing at two stable lights is snappier with movement than gyro. I even booted up the original SS just in case I was misremembering and while that game runs at 30 fps as opposed to 60 fps, the pointer is much more reliable and reactive, even at 30.
  15. Do they have something that shows you what the total is of completed games or do you have to go through and figure out which trophy is the one for completing the game and counting them all up?
  16. I'm thinking of switching over, but its too fun swinging the controller still. I wish I knew why these controllers worked so poorly. I think a great solution would be to have the default right stick be the camera and hold the L button when you want to use the sword. If they just gave you that option I think it would feel a lot more natural. Wario's the absolute best. The demo is just as good as I hoped it would be. The anime end of Nintendo that's been emerging in recent years has been the first bunch of Nintendo games I just don't like at all. I'd add modern Pokemon onto that too. It's become very anime game in style. Fire Emblem didn't always used to be an anime game, it was a VERY different style pre-Awakening. I say they kinda sold out after Awakening saved the series from never coming back. WarioWare I've always loved to death. Just non-stop fun without any downtime. Rhythm Heaven is probably in my top 3 Nintendo series too. I can kinda understanding liking all the Wario Land games and being put off at the fact that Wario has a new series now, but its worth giving another shot.
  17. It's really a great piece. When I first heard it at the concert I was convinced it was a super obscure old piece that I had never heard before.
  18. Anyone play it with joycons? They should be better, but the controllers are so cheap and unreliable they don't work most of the time.
  19. Is the Skywalker Symphony still around or did they die off as with most great things like Lucasarts with the Disney acquisition?
  20. I had no idea about all those differences. I listened to them once ever during an 8 hour car ride so my focus wasn't as good as it could have been. Why even go through all the effort when those were obviously just glorified reissues dressed up as being remastered?
