  1. The Memoirs cover is much nicer than the Angela's Ashes cover.
  2. Check the Star Trek quote thread, yet post more quotes in every other thread.
  3. MS Photo Editor. I am a Wizard not a tech Wizard. Books are better than computers (they crash less frequently if at all) I can name one book that crashed this year.
  4. Don't underestimate the power of nostalgia.
  5. IMDb never lies. Ever. Seriously. Har har har! I have no trust in IMDB and thus I am asking you. That site is run by Vulcans, of course they never lie. And yes, it says on the poster that Eric Bana is in Munich.
  6. I think it sounds more like "The Immolation Scene".
  7. 2005... the year Potter crashed. What a crappy score, and I don't say that often. And no, if it had been written for another movie, I still wouldn't have been impressed.
  8. It was a constant development since I was a little kid since I was always exposed to movies. But it was really in 1996 when I was 11-years-old when I saw Independence Day that I became a real film score junkie. It was also the first soundtrack I ever bought.
  9. IMDb boards are a breeding ground for false information. If you prove them wrong, they resort to not-so-stylish colourful metaphors.
  10. Six months ago, I would have said Potter. Now, after HAP, I realize it's nothing more than a sexed-up boarding school romantic comedy, with a few magical elements to spice it up. It doesn't do anything for me any more. The Lord of the Rings movies are fine by me, but with the book, I only got up to Tom Bombadil and gave up. As for Narnia, I don't even know what it's about.
  11. Here's one more CD that won't make it into my collection any time soon.
  12. Eh, I always considered "Hedwig's Theme" as the magic theme. Harry's theme is there somewhere in "Harry's Wondrous World".
  13. Only Jerry Goldsmith has managed to equal, and often surpass John Williams' greatness. Sometimes, I wonder what a Goldsmith Potter score would sound like.
  14. POA an example of film scores at their finest in the 21st Century. PS/SS is also a fine score, it has more complexity than the film or the series really deserves. COS has some beautiful themes but a rather bland and repetitive underscore, but that unique Williams sound isn't missed, which is something that bothers me about the disturbingly flat sound in that Patrick Doyle track that sounds a bit like Takayuki Hattori.
  15. Until Half-Blood Prince, of course. That deserves something unlistenable. By then, we probably wont even get a score soundtrack.
  16. Bah, keep Doyle in for the next movies. The series doesn't really deserve anything better.
  17. "Take your stinkin' cameras off me, you damn, dirty director!"
  18. Doyle... Doyle! Can somebody tell me what kind of a world we live in, where a man who scored Quest for Camelot gets all of Williams' press?! This board needs an enima!
