I am sure he and Spielberg talked about Bridge Of Spies, but that he had to now out due to time constraints.
No, its well known now Williams had to bow out because of health reasons. He was scheduled to score BOS.

TNG established that Data ages physically.

For my money, the gold standards are Fred Steiner’s TOS underscoring and TNG’s main title (Courage fanfare/Goldsmith theme).
Thats ignoring hundreds of hours of Berman era scoring

And people used to hate McCarthy's DS9 theme!

I feel like, no matter what can be said about the show, they nailed Picard. The dialogue doesn't come across as a close approximation, the way he has changed over the last 20 years doesn't feel untrue to the character we initially fell in love with. It's the real deal, and seeing Stewart back giving his 150% for Trek is wondrous and surreal.
Picard was great, the rest didn't feel anything like TNG.

What's Star Trek meant to sound like, though? Each of the shows and films has a different voice and they all adhere to a type of romanticism one way or another. It doesn't really have a unified voice like Star Wars or Harry Potter.
And yet somehow it does.

Just apply loads of DNR.

Elba is simply a bit too old now.
10 years ago, sure.

I agree with Trent about Russo. His themes are generic and dont go anywhere. The Picard one is actually shapeless. Ending on Jerry's theme feels forced.

Nice!
Can you plug in a VHS player?

No. Not by a long shot. Boston Pops performances were filmed at times too.

Nick Redman was the producer of the sets.
And those albums and many others is why he is missed.

JWFan's has quickly become the "de facto" John Williams account for most Instagram users (something to be proud of!).
You have a lot to be proud of, my friend.

I know what floor he was on.

No, I don't believe so.

Karl Pilkington’s Sick Of It (Season 2).
I really love it - so unusual and clever.
How is Pilkington when he's doing something scripted?

Before even reading who started this thread I knew it would be King Mark.

The hospitality towards Williams has been truly kingly during this visit. I haven't expected that.
Zis is how Austrians say goodbye!

1) I've now seen John Williams live as many times (3) as I've seen Jerry Goldsmith
2) I've now performed on a stage that Williams has also performed on
It occurred to me that I have now heard Williams music performed in Het Concertgebouw, Boston Symphony Hall and the Muzikverein.

The version on the Gerhardt rerecording is all you need!

I wonder if we will see Section 31 on this show?
