Quintus 5,399
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7302841.stmA talented director who perhaps never really reached his full potential and shall be sorely missed by the British film industry. Morlock 11
I met him once, and he was about as nice a guy as I could've imagined. I am shocked and very saddened by this news.

Hlao-roo 389
A fine director gone. And the under-commissioned Gabriel Yared loses his most prominent collaborator.

Hitch 57
I was shocked and saddened to hear that one of Britain's leading and most talented directors died this morning. Being a big fan of Minghella for many years, this news really has gutted me to the core. I am a big fan of THE TALENTED MR RIPLEY and while many people were bored to tears at his movie THE ENGLISH PATIENT...this gentle fella has been the closest Britain has ever gotten to having another David Lean in their midst. A truly terrible day for British film industry and to the cinema world in total.Hitch

Morlock 11
I just picked up the newest Time magazine, and it has an article about a project Minghella was working on. That's sad irony.
