Gruesome Son of a Bitch 6,488
For whatever reason, Goldsmith altered the Motion Picture theme in the end credits of Insurrection. Certain notes are more muted and it sounds distinctly different from the other versions. I kinda like it most.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,265
It's fine, I'm OK with it.
Charlie Brigden 7
It fits the film as it's a bit more gentler, and I like it fine, although I prefer the more intense versions.
crocodile 8,018
While I have no idea what changes are you referring to, verbatim repetition is the worst thing about these kinds of things. This is what made me skip SW theme on all the prequel albums.Karol
Greg1138 3
Yes, kept it a little fresh without ruining it or trying to become a "new" version - it's just fine and works well.
Ollie 1,059
I don't like it.Somethings just don't need to be fixed or messed with.
Wojo 2,453
I don't second-guess anything that Jerry Goldsmith wrote during his life.
Unlucky Bastard 7,782
I have no idea why anyone would dislike it. It's the most vibrant and energetic performance of the main theme in the series.
Kevin 22
Did anyone notice else the performance error in the performance of the Star Trek theme?
Ollie 1,059
Why mess with perfection? Goldsmith nailed it the first time, why tinker with it?
davros72 1
I've never liked the muting (I hear it as more of a subito piano effect, but you know what I mean) in the End Title. It always sounds awkward, almost like the orchestra was making a mistake. Never understood what Jerry was trying to do with that, I can appreciate trying to vary it and do something different, but this change never worked for me.
