gkgyver 1,646
The beginning definitely sounds like Pity Of Gollum. The soprano part after that, I'm lost.

Barnald 382
Would have been wonderful to see Doug write about a "Thorin Is Pissed Off" theme in the liner notes. There's still hope for the book at least.
leeallen01 2,140
Ah yes I didn't notice it's the same as 'Out of the Frying Pan.' Could it be a variation of the 'Ancient Enemy' idea? They both base themselves on 6 note groups.

Faleel 5,464
Weakness and Redemption sounds like The PIty of Gollum, and WaR is also in a lot of other themes.Besides, I don't know why Gollum would be showing up in the Out of the Frying Pan sequence. I remember you were the one to point that out originally Faleel. And yeah Weakness and Redemption seems to be in the fabric of these scores. Thorin's little motif in AUJ, Thranduil's similar motif in DoS and BotFA, Gollum, Rivendell etc.

Jay 37,561
I dunno what the mystery is, its a theme relating to the start of the quest for erebor, which Gandalf is reminded of when he looks at the map sixty years later.
