From an email exchange between a friend of mine and Dan Goldwasser of Soundtrack.net:

Dan,

Thanks for the reply. Do you know of a timeframe when these will be released? I have a feeling it will be in November for FOTR and then about every 3-4 weeks for TTT & ROTK, much like they did with the Star Wars SE releases back in 1997. I am sure that you are under orders not to say but as my father told me, "If you don't ask, you don't get!"

Hey

Yes, to a November release, but NO, not 3-4 weeks. Longer.

No idea on how long though. I personally wouldn't expect a TTT expanded CD

release until late spring 2006 at the earliest.

Dan

ttbk, very much excited, but had hoped they would come closer together.....

Well, we'll have to listen to each of these releases many times to get familiar with them and figure out all the themes etc. The thing that worries me about long intermissions is that if they decide to release the three sets as a nicely packaged bundle in the end, I'll probably already have all the standalone releases.

Marian - hoping for the Doug Adams book along with FOTR.

I too hoped they'd come closer together.

I expect though, that if an eventual box set will have any extras, we'll be informed up ahead.

- Marc, who will most likely get these as soon as possible.
