Happy Father's Day everyone!

I'm not a Dad (I'm 21, so I have a few more years :P ) but I'm sure we have some Dads on this board.

Maybe this is common knowledge on this board, but......does JW have a wife and kids? Anyone have details on this?

-Steve ;)

A very big hug to Miguel Andrade, who became a father a very short time ago. His son can't congratulate him today, but if he could, I would bet every Williams CD I own that he would.

Yeah, not to mention that ridiculous yellow and red tie you get as a present and have to wear cause you don't wanna hurt their feelings.

Don't even get my started about the self made ashtrays. ;)

Stefancos- who does not smoke.

Thankfully Father's Day 'Down Under' isn't for quite some time yet... (I hope). It's not that I don't love my Dad, just that the whole present-buying thing can be a bit of a pain ;)

CYPHER - who joins Ross in extending his congratulations and best wishes to Miguel. Your kid can take over from us next year :)

My daughter made me an ashtray 8 years ago, even though I don't smoke, and I still cherish it after all these years. Having your kid come in and wake you up on Fathers Day to show you their handmade card is one of those moments that makes a father get teary eyed.

-Mark, whose kids never bought him a tie, thank god.

John Williams has a wife and 2 or 3 children (by his former wife Barbara Ruick, who died in 1974)

He also has some grandchildren, but i dunno how many.

I can't believe nobody mentioned Joseph Williams, son of JW, former member of Toto and lyricist on 'Lapti Nek'!! If memory serves, I believe he has scored a few direct-to-video movies and B-movies.

In fact, i DID mention him, he is one if the children.

Also, most people here know about Joseph Williams by now, i guess.

Stefancos- Who watches the Joseph Williams scored Embrace Of The Vampire, starring Alyssa Milano, several times.

To study the score and compare Joseph's composing skills with that of his father, off course. ROTFLMAO

Stefancos, Saxman here didn't know about Joseph Williams. And speaking of JWs kids... I just did an imdb search on JW and his kin. Mark Towner Williams, his other son, was drummer for Air Supply. Did anyone else know this, because I didn't. Also noteworthy that I noticed, some of Josephs scoring assignments include films in the the Erotic Confessions saga.

ROTFLMAO

But then again, there are lots of talented film composers who can't even get soft-core porn films to work on... so its all relative I guess.

Joseph Williams also provided the singing voice for Simba in The Lion King.

I wonder what Williams (john) thinks about the 'movie' his son scored.

I mean, every father wants to see what sons do or in what they work, dont they?

Luke, who hopes Williams just heard a CD of the score ROTFLMAO

If I was a father (which I am obviously not) I listened for sure to my sons work. But I would not mess with his stuff, because it was his work. Only if he would ask my advice I would help him. Otherwise I would let him do his job, but I certaintly did study his work

LOL I don't think Father's Day arrives here until sometime in September... One benefit of being on the tail-end of a "staggered release" :folder:.
