IrishCal24 0
I can't say one way or the other about the studio, but have you guys been reading Ford's comments about lately, on Coming Soon, about the film not being a sure thing? He says he's cautiously optimistic, but until the script is complete and agreed upon by all, its not a done deal.
JoeinAR 1,949
it is going to be a Paramount film, i have said it to be so that ought to be good enough for everyone But if there are more doubters you must believe what I say Why would I lie?But the biggest news is that Calista Flockhart will be the female lead in the next Indy film I am sure this will be well received news. joe

Steven Awalt 0
You betrayed Shiva, just for the record Joe's right. It is Paramount. Lucasfilm owns the negative rights, but Paramount is still in the game. Sherry Lansing (the head of Paramount) has even been quoted about her excitment for the film.I figured the rumor was complete trash the moment I read it, an opporuntistic angle (Ford's current girlfriend) to make ink. Who shot it down though? Official? Link? I want to hear someone official go to town on it.
Melange 446
I know it will be unpopular to say this. But i think a new Indy film would be a disaster waiting to happen. They were a style of movie which fitted the 80's like a glove and were classics of their time . But i can assure you that like the situation which has happened with the Star Wars movies, people will expect so much from this Indy film that they WILL go to the movie theatre setting themselves up to scrutinize it to pieces and will almost certainly be dissapointed. They will expect so much from JW's score, and will constantly compare that movie and score to the earlier ones. Wherever there is expectation, there is the potential for huge dissapointment. Therefore many people will not like this movie if they loved the original trilogy. My advice to the movie studios is "forget the idea". Harrison is too old to play the part now anyway. If they wanted to make more films, then they should of made them back to back at the time like they have been doing with these Harry Potter films. That way, the ambience of the era is kept intact. They had the potential to be a long list of amazing films at the time with all those comic book stories around. But with such a long gap since the last one it obvious that Spielberg and Lucas have changed their style now. Actors have changed a lot. Even JW has changed his style from the 70's and 80's scores. So i think we will get a poor imitation attempt at those classics if they attempt it. (IMO) The best way to honour those movies would be to leave them alone.Melange - Self appointed "Dont ruin the original Indy trilogy" campaign. Morn 8
I don't care if it's like the 80's Indy or not, I just want to be great, and Spielberg still has it and has never lost it.Harrison is too old to play the part now anyway. Non-sense, is Williams to old to compose? Is Gandalf too old to be a wizard? Is Yoda too old to be a Jedi master? Compared to them (them not really being human either), would an old indy be hard to believe?
Ross 1
Well Morn, do you think Harrison Ford was belivable in Six Days Seven Nights? I didn't. He's too old for the adventure role.Plus, what need is there really for a 4th Indy adventure? Sure, we all want to see more of Indy. I want to see more of Indy. But let's face it. Indiana Jones is Harrison Ford in his forties. Not now that he's nearly sixty. He just isn't Indiana Jones. There can't be more of Indy in this decade.I think it's too late for a fourth Indiana Jones. Everything has change -- the way we look at movies, the filmmakers' style, the demand . . .Even Spielberg's interests have changed. They just can't make a new classic Indy being honest. It's like when you watch a TV show in its early episodes and then you watch in the final ones -- is it the same material? No. Things change, focuses change.I say we better leave the saga alone with its head high up. That's one of the problems of being a collector: you get used to focusing on what you are to have instead of what you already have.

Morn 8
Well, he's not 80. 60 is not exactly the decade of your extreme frailty I'm assuming that indy has kept his adventures up at least some of the time for 20 years, so he should be fairly fitMorn - Who thinks even if an indy old seems absurd, it's better than no indy

Luke Skywalker 1,796
Well Lucas did not kill AOC. One of the best movies ever. :? never mind. At least stefancos was polite. MY favourite movie until EPIII i think . Well and about a DVD version, with possibly added footage and rescored music? (i'm talking of the 2006's DVD release, not the one this year) Will you like it more? I will (EVEN more). ANd i think that the only flaw is the inclusion of TPM music, not the editing of the AOTC one. And the saber colors. About that one, maybe Lucas has a surprise for us in EPIII. You know, Adi Gallia does not fight, and has a crimsom saber. Plo Koon had a yellow one, but in EPII he has windu's previous saber, which was blue, as it is in EpII. Ki-Adi mundi may have lost his saber. You know there are 10000 Jedi. Maybe the ones in EPII only had Blue and green sabers....Anyways, it's my opinion. I'm a Star Wars Fan and i have a 'conditioned' opinion. But it was the SW movie i enjoyed more.About the flaws it has, tell me. I can clarify someones to you, if they are plot, technological or thinks like Why owen does not remember C3PO in EpIV.
