Lurker 5
As we all know, Williams seems to have a relationship with Sony Classical but I'm not really sure how this will affect his releases.Neil

#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,265
Even if they do kick out Williams, he'll find another label soon enough.
Mr. Breathmask 555
Why would anyone want to kick John Williams out of their label? :?
King Mark 3,631
That would be good actuallyK.M.Not impressed with a lot of Sony Classical releases.
Mr. Breathmask 555
Yeah, it would be good. It'd be a stupid move by Sony, though. Then again, we're used to Sony being stupid. 8OLet Williams take the Star Wars scores back to RCA/Victor, so they can do SE-type releases of the prequel trilogy.Too bad it doesn't work that way. 8O

tharpdevenport 4
Why doesn't he just create his own label? Goodness knows he has enough money.Hell, if Burwell, Schifrin and others can do it, why not Williams?
John Crichton 4
Hmmm, interesting idea, but I would want someone else to have a large say on the CDs. As an album producer Williams likes to rearrange and merge cues for a "better listening experience". I would rather have someone who believes in the C&C rule putting the albums together. Besides the Williams piece, that ocupies the full side B, it included works by two other composers, those being Penderecki (Pittsburgh Overure) and Mayuzumi (Music with Sculpture).
