  1. I say coincidence, but that's a DVD rip and not the best quality. If we can get a...new version of PoA like we did SS it'd be easier to tell.
  2. Airplane is a great score, and surprisingly very thematically deep.
  3. That's close too. Indy's First Adventure is one of my favorite cues, not least for its technical proficiency with all those synch points. But there's just something really special about that long sequence of cues at the start of ToD, they way they all come together.
  4. I'm loving all the "genre show" cameos showing up in Mass Effect 2: Seth Green (of course he was in the first too), Tricia Helfer, Michael Hogan, Adam Baldwin, Michael Dorn.
  5. Oh great, I'm gonna be starting at Steef's posts for five minutes at a time now.
  6. So what does it mean when I see these huge Star Wars discussions and just scroll over them with barely any interest?
  7. SAE randomly puts goodies into orders. I've gotten about 5 or 6 magnets, plus a collector's card.
  8. For the whole package, Raiders. But, just musically, the whole sequence from the start of ToD to when they arrive at the village is one of, if not the, most consistently great 15-20 minute run in Williams' career.
  9. And in one of the new scenes on the Series 5 set, he does compare himself to Gandalf. An outer space Gandalf.
  10. I think I'm about halfway through Mass Effect 2, really enjoying it so far. I have to say that in terms of pure gameplay I give the edge to the first one. I liked the overload rather than reload system for combat, and despite frustrations with the Mako and repetitive environments I like the planet exploration better in the first too. I'm honestly even missing the inventory depth, ME2 is a little too streamlined. ME2's biggest edge is the story. Much better than the rather thinnish one of the original. Yeah, it's mining the original for depth, but that's what good sequels do. The characters are a wash, great in both games. I'm certainly going to be on board for ME3 as soon as it comes out.
  11. As I said before, Galaxy Quest. It's the only one I can think of.
  12. Gandalf. Dumbledore is miles more interesting in the books that in the films, but Gandalf is great in both. Plus, Ian McKellen.
  13. From the 2010 list the best was easily Let Me In, probably followed by (shock!) Tron: Legacy.
  14. I don't know if I ever said how happy I am this got an official release, it's a wonderful little score. Between this, Black Sunday, and Family Plot it was a hell of a year for Williams gems.
  15. Seriously though, enjoy it, looks like a great concert.
  16. I got the BttF Blu box for Christmas, it was the first time since the VHS days that I'd watched II and III, and I was pleasantly surprised how enjoyable they were. Definitely one of the most solid trilogies out there.
  17. You remember, old guy, said hi to him one time in Ft. Worth. Dunno if he's ever done much of anything though.
  18. Sorcerer's Stone is one of the most thematically diverse non-sequel scores of Williams' career.
  19. Interesting. Personally I like the first two scores and really don't see need for a change, but we'll see how it turns out.
