  1. I would be extremely happy if it were A.I. It could use sonic improvement and of course a truly comprehensively compelete score would be a dream come true as it is really in my top 5 JW scores. Man, that would be great. A.I. is a masterpiece everyone should own.
  2. Everything Abrams has been saying about this film has been 100% what I've wanted to hear. Almost too good.
  3. Something serious must have happened between Konami and Kojima. Konami has tried their best to erase him completely.
  4. It's a hollow approximation of edginess. So the latter.
  5. This is like taking Ledger's Joker, ramping up the edginess, and removing any sense of entertainment from it.
  6. I really, really don't like that.
  7. I'm pretty pumped about this game. I've wanted another Battlefront for a long time and this is delivering that. I do wish they were bringing back space battles but there is going to be air vehicle based gameplay so I'm excited for that. This will basically be Battlefield Star Wars edition with all the scale that goes along with that. I'm absolutely down for a full scale Battle of Hoth wherein I can pilot an AT-AT and a snowspeeder.
  8. Most likely, yeah. But I still don't really like it.
  9. Snyder has a great track record with trailers. They're often better than their accompanying films, actually. This one I thought was decent. I like what it suggests the story is doing, namely that Superman and his impact on the world is at the center. But visually it reminded me a lot of Snyder's Watchmen which I'm no fan of. Nor am I fan of Batman's robot voice.
  10. The score is incredible. So good that it improves the experience of seeing the film in every respect.
  11. For some reason the Battle of Hoth has been playing in my head all morning. Which is of course not a bad ear worm at all. I get that one every once and a while. The low piano thumping with the incoming AT-AT's in the distance.
  12. This is a great show. Vince Gilligan is more than a man, less than a god.
  13. Well, I would have preferred the LSO but I really can't complain about LA getting the gig. The difference in sound is minimal enough to be inconsequential.
  14. I certainly hope Williams conducts the LSO. It's tradition. You could say it's a minor thing but for me the LSO is synonymous with Star Wars music. There would be nothing wrong with any other orchestra doing it as long as it is of quality but knowing that the LSO is doing it would give it an extra bit of magic for me.
  15. Good choice but I'm still wary about this. Has there ever been a sequel/prequel/follow-up of some kind decades after the original that's actually worked?
  16. They've probably got a studio working on a Star Wars title, probably KOTOR 3. And another on the next Mass Effect.
  17. They'll probably be "exiled" to TV. But that's not a bad thing for them really, TV's a goldmine right now.
  18. I had the privilege of going to the first showing of the concert in Nashville a few weeks ago. Great time and great music.
  19. Hook is one of my favorite pieces of music ever, but it is true that it's a lot to take in in one sitting. Or even several. It's something that't best to dig into over a longer period of time I've found.
  20. Another wasted death. This show is squandering the winning streak it had going through much of Season 4 and the beginning of this season.
  21. I busted out laughing at the opening credits. Amazing.
