So can I, though that has nothing to do with the quality of the music. And it's certainly nothing some more time and fine-tuning couldn't have fixed.

Yeah, the theme is solid enough. Action is boring though. Can barely get through the whole album.

"The Hijacking" was one the best action cues of the 1990s behind Horner's "The Ambush" from Clear and Present Danger ;)

Petersen has a history of doing this. Have you heard Randy Newman's rejected score for Airforce One? It's wildly inappropriate for the film.

I've never heard it, but how could anyone in their right mind hire Newman to score a film like this, and expect him to take it seriously?

Aww, come on! You're still my favourite Dutchman!

I'd just rather Goldsmith when he wasn't on autopilot!

He certainly wasn't on autopilot! Its a 2 week score

Well sure, I respect that he delivered what he did in the time he had. But it doesn't change the fact that what we got doesn't interest me that much.

What do you think of the McNeely tracks?

Among the better moments of the score.

We are actually much more prudes than the pervs you claim we are.

Holland has had much more sexually explicit TV broadcasts and films. You have Carice doing her thing in Game of Thrones (and Zwartboek).

You seem to know what you're talking about. ;)

Back on topic: how come James Horner never wrote a sleazy, steamy, sexy thriller score like Jerry's Basic Instinct?

The Land Before Time

Utterly gorgeous, a perfect album, that recording is indeed stellar !

Now I've never seen the film, and I don't need to, but the music tells the story wonderfully.

I miss you already James.
