Kevin 23 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Does anyone use the Chat Room from time to time, or is it pretty useless?
John Crichton 4 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 We have an annual chat during the Oscars. Other than that it's not regularly used. We tried to revive the old Friday night chat tradition a while back but it died off again from simple lack of interest. It's tough when everyone is scattered over so many time zones.Of course everyone is free to use the chatroom anytime they want. It's unmoderated and anything goes, just as long as any fights or off-topic discussions don't leak over onto the main forum.
Ollie 1,375 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Actually it is haunted, by the ghost of Weebo.Spooky shit man.
John Crichton 4 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Yes, I was trying to avoid mentioning that. Have we made the necessary sacrifices to make it safe for Oscar night?
MSM 194 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Actually it is haunted, by the ghost of Weebo.Spooky shit man. Who's Weebo?
A24 5,156 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Me neither because I can't handle the truth.
Quintus 6,499 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 My brain would go into meltdown if I were to ever converse in real time with any of you.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,388 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Bunch of pussies!
Ollie 1,375 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Actually it is haunted, by the ghost of Weebo.Spooky shit man. Who's Weebo? An old and long, long, loooonngggggg story. Bunch of pussies!I don't recall ever seeing you in there.
Quintus 6,499 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Tell you what, I might check in on Sunday evening (during the Oscars), see if anyone is about.
Ollie 1,375 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 My brain would go into meltdown if I were to ever converse in real time with any of you.Just be thankful you weren't there the first time Mr. Savas joined us for a chat, when he first became a member here.Had he lived in Texas, John and I would have ridden over to his house and given him a #6.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,388 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I don't recall ever seeing you in there.I'm very sorry?I'm a veteran of the fridaychat in the old days when it was visited by the likes of Elvisjones, Darth Furter, Roald, Oskar, Ricard, Uni, Indysolo, Hitch, Chrushercomix, Ren, Jim Ware etc...Hours and hours of cross-subject chatting...I dont remember seeing you there.Pussy!
Quintus 6,499 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I remember Koray in his early days. He does too.Bless him
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,388 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 he used to be a cunt.
Ollie 1,375 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I don't recall ever seeing you in there.I'm very sorry?I'm a veteran of the fridaychat in the old days when it was visited by the likes of Elvisjones, Darth Furter, Roald, Oskar, Ricard, Uni, Indysolo, Hitch, Chrushercomix, Ren, Jim Ware etc...Hours and hours of cross-subject chatting...I dont remember seeing you there.Pussy!I had a girlfriend at the time. I had better things to do than hang out in a Friday night chatroom. I'm talking about recently, like Oscar chats.
Andy 7,731 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Had he lived in Texas, John and I would have ridden over to his house and given him a #6.What is a #6?Weebo sounds like the name of an Ewok.
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 All I remember was going overboard when some guy I never heard of, Santaolalla, beat out Johnny's double nom.
Ollie 1,375 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Had he lived in Texas, John and I would have ridden over to his house and given him a #6.What is a #6?Language involved, NSFW.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UM9GjnTFIM
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,388 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I'm talking about recently, like Oscar chats.Like I said, I had a job, the timezone was not in my favor. Can't imagine staying awake to see if someone I'm not interested in wins an Oscar for some score I don't care about.
Andy 7,731 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 #6 I gotta rent that movie. It's been years.
Quintus 6,499 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Oh shit, Steef reminded me that this years awards are gonna be boring as hell. Pass.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,388 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Worst....nominations...ever!
Richard P 5,303 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 This year is a bit more interesting for me than some. I've nearly seen all the best picture nominees (and plan to finish before Sunday), so that I can at least make an informed opinion on whether the popularity contest made a step in the right direction.Plus it's nice to talk in real time with you guys once a year.
Ollie 1,375 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I won't be watching the show but I may drop by the chat room.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,388 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I'd rather watch my cat cough up hairballs then watch the Oscars.
Andy 7,731 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 When my cat coughs up hairballs, she sings and even articulates rudimentary words, so it's actually quite a bit more entertaining than the oscars.
Wojo 2,458 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Well there's nothing like a talented pussy to pass the time.
John Crichton 4 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 #6 is a Texas classic.I hope I'll have time to drop by, as usual I won't be wasting my time watching the actual show. The chat's much more entertaining.
Ollie 1,375 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I can't access the chatroom, is anyone else having a problem?
Andy 7,731 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I was in, but I had to step out. I think it was sucking our bandwidth and making my kid's Netflix viewing stall out.
Taikomochi 1,461 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I tried to step in, but my internet connection is so iffy, and disconnects frequently. Not worth reloading the page constantly.
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 It helps to have it in a separate window, I believe.
Ollie 1,375 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I'm getting an error #1091 in both IE and Mozilla.Oh well not gonna bother watching the Oscars so no big deal.
Wojo 2,458 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I never installed the plugin in my Firefox and don't feel like fussing with IE. I'll stick with watching some show on History about guns.
Andy 7,731 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 That was pretty fun last night. I wish I had more time to participate, but it was cool to chat in real time.
