  1. The Empire Strikes Back End Credits are the best. The music flows so naturally and well from theme to theme. There is an organic quality to the composition. I am of course counting the Rebel Fleet cue as part of the Credits. The Force theme at the beginning and how it flows to a beautiful and sweeping rendition of the Han Solo/Leia love theme before going to the End Credits statement of the Main theme is brilliant. Yoda's, Vader's and the Love theme are effortelessly combined to a great suite that ends with wonderful flourishes of the Love theme and rousing fanfares and pounding timpani. Simply beautiful.
  2. I am there now so if anyone is interested do join me!
  3. A great score! I was just listening to it myself. It is so gothic and the orchestrations are wonderful. Oneof my current favourites.
  4. Another Dawn by Korngold. It had few nice passages but much of the score is reworking the old action material from his older scores. It did not do much for me.
  5. A great find indeed! How is the sound quality?
  6. No new JP movie please! Been there done that. Now give it a rest. I can't believe they are serious with this. Are there any people stupid enough to get stranded on those dinosaur infested islands? Oh well when you have a money making franchise you should use it.
  7. Cheer up Marc! Geriatric Jones will be worth of seeing atleast for the special effects to hide Harrison's age They must be tremendous.
  8. Good news but as you said Snowster I'll believe this when we actually have stronger proof of this actually happening. I mean that we hear of the actual shoot and see production diaries in the net and that sort of stuff.
  9. Hook is indeed one of Williams' masterpieces. Now shush Joe!
  10. You Are the Pan. Pure Magic. The other two belong to my favourite Williams pieces but the Face of Pan is best of the three IMO.
  11. Way to go John Williams!!! Though I always knew he would win the BAFTA award. Next is the Oscar!
  12. Well there is one different sedgement in the film version of Wade's Death if I remember correctly. It has been a long time since I last saw the film though.
  13. When I ordered that score through our local record store it took 6 months to deliver it to Finland. That is the second longest wait for a score album I have had. 1941 CD took 2 years to arrive. Talk about slow service. Damn that's a long time to wait for a package to arrive. It's a good thing you didn't move in those 2 years. Were you pretty surprised 2 years later that you got the CD you had ordered? Did you forget about it? I had forgotten the order complitely untill they called me and said it had arrived. At first when they called me I was little baffled since I did not remember any recent orders I had from that store. I am glad I had money to buy it then.
  14. How can you see red hair in black & white pictures? Use your imagination You can do it!
  15. I read reviews but they do not affect my listening experience. I make my own judgement of the music. I just like to read the reviews to see other people's opinions and views on the music. And when it comes to Williams scores it is impossible not to come across opinions of his latest scores here on the MB.

  17. Yes it was always nice to see an episode with Commander Tomalak in it.
  18. LOL Now that you mentioned it he does.
  19. Either Red Violin or Dances With Wolves. I can't decide between them.
