Overall, I'd say my favourite character is a toss up between The Hound and Sansa. The latter had the most interesting arc, I thought. She was such a little shit in the early seasons, but she grew to be a wise and formidable woman, the result of her life experiences. The Hound was just easy to watch.
Sansa is probably my most disliked character now that all's said and done. Yeah, hated her at the start, began liking her as she gained agency in later seasons, but that's what the show wanted from me as a viewer. Pretty sure it still wanted me to like her when she became discount Cersei/Littlefinger lovechild, but really she was just another ridiculous contrivance there to force the Daenerys plot stupidity. For a show that so boldly told us the Starks weren't standard untouchable heroes via Ned's execution and the Red Wedding, it sure ended up bending over backwards to make that the case in the end. Didn't give a fuck about any of them save Jon personally.

Well I'm here, now. What do you want to talk about?

Alex I suspect you would find much to like in his music if you took the time to wade through the material that inevitably won't be quite as appealing to you.

What do you mean? I don’t really watch any of their shows but I’ve heard The Good Wife and its spin-off The Good Fight are cool at least. What bad shows would you compare the trailer to?
I don't watch any either but I'm familiar with their advertising and it all seems very comically dour. A rather unsubtle way of putting it would be TV for Very Serious Baby Boomers. There is a hint of that in this trailer but it may just be an advertising thing.

Want this to be good but must admit there is a just taste of CBS' brand of cringe present in that trailer.

Can you imagine Williams working with a director like Nolan? He'd pull his remaining hairs out!
Why? Nolan is one of the most composer friendly directors working today.
Don't have much opinion on Ludwig but good for him for landing the job. Zimmer needs space for Dune and that is going to be a special score.

When you think of the legacy Howard Shore left behind after his Rings scores, GoT seems like a blip on the radar. 10 years and five or six basic themes played on his laptop using midi files.
Come on credit where credit is due. Effective scoring that satisfied alot of fans. That's hardly something to be scoffed at.

How was the final episode? Was it the big piece of crap everyone on Twitter and Reddit is claiming it is?
Could have been serviceable if not undermined by the same lazy shit writing that plagued the previous two episodes. I may not like some of the plot points themselves but I think pretty objectively this was major shit anyway. It's pretty astonishing that this could happen actually.

Wow. Guess this isn't a beautiful, if very mature, story to introduce my girls to eventually? I honestly could cry for that loss. Damn it.

Yeah, if those spoilers are true, this is like a child who just wants to break all his favorite toys for the sake of it.
GRRM is Orson Lannister confirmed 100%

Nope. It's over. Betting on zero rewatch value too.

Of those listed Kubrick and Bergman. Needs more Malick and Tarkovsky.

Yes as critical as I can be about some things let it never be said that Pope doesn't do plenty of good.

God I don't know. David Newman? Must be some more recent ones though not necessarily "major" films.

Session playing for pop genres is definitely down yes, at least people playing together at the same time. It's sad. I remember hearing someone talking about a session at Avatar in Manhattan a few years ago that had a full big band group in the room and how novel that now was.
What are you drinking tonight?

When I was there last that apartment complex was still under construction. How funny to see a JWFan there on my recommendation these years later. Enjoy.
