  1. Cool splash art, quick search but couldn't find a higher-res version anywhere? Nice junkyard background hehe
  2. From LLL's mailer... SUPERMAN II & III: LIMITED EDITION (3-CD SET) LLLCD 1464 Music by Composed and Conducted by Ken Thorne From original material composed by John Williams Limited Edition of 3000 Units RETAIL PRICE: $34.98 STARTS SHIPPING OCT 30 La-La Land Records, Warner Bros. Entertainment, Warner Music Group and DC Entertainment proudly continue Superman’s 80th Anniversary Celebration with a 3-CD re-issue of the original motion picture scores to the 1980 feature film, SUPERMAN II and the 1983 feature film SUPERMAN III, both starring Christopher Reeve and directed by Richard Lester. Renowned composer Ken Thorne (Academy Award winner for A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM) keeps the Man of Steel flying high with two stupendous orchestral scores that incorporate John Williams’ original material with maximum emotional power. Both film scores utilize the same stellar master as the 2008 “Superman: The Music” box set from FSM, assembled here across 3-CDs. Disc 2 presents a collection of source music and songs from the first three Superman films composed by John Williams, Ken Thorne and Giorgio Moroder, including some previously unreleased tracks. Produced by Mike Matessino and mastered by Doug Schwartz, this set offers a 44-page booklet with in-depth liner notes by Matessino, Jeff Eldridge and associate producer Lukas Kendall, updated from the FSM Superman box set for this 3-disc reissue. 3. I'm not a doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night... If I would venture a guess, it would be kidney stones. I've never had them but hear they're extremely painful to endure.
  4. Has MM ever posted here on the boards or just over at FSM? If not, has he given a reason for not? Wonder if he's got a ghost account here and is lurking and snickering at all of the back and forth on here, I know I would! Also, I'm a total facebook noob (just signed up recently) and I tried to follow MM but it's grayed out. I feel weird reaching out to him like a little groupie teenage girl "can I follow you?!" 😆 Any specific reason why this is the case? So jealous that I couldn't be a fly on the wall for this conversation!
  5. So does that mean that Williams' camp was not happy with the Cowboys art? I'm totally fine with it, looks great!
  6. Lucky for me the bank just increased the line on my credit card 🤣
  7. Per Mike's webpage: http://www.mikematessino.com/projects/ Title Release Credits Return of the Jedi [Fox] John Williams Released by RCA Victor/Sony Classical February 11th, 1997 Assembly/Notes The Empire Strikes Back [Fox] John Williams Released by RCA Victor/Sony Classical January 28th, 1997 Assembly/Notes Star Wars [Fox] John Williams Released by RCA Victor/Sony Classical January 14th, 1997 Assembly/Notes
  8. JW: I haven't gone by the name of "Johnny Baby" since oh, before you were born. All kidding aside, my thoughts and prayers are with JW for a speedy recovery!
  9. I've put the bug in my family's ear about this as a possible birthday idea for me. Being a week before Thanksgiving / Black Friday has certainly paid off in years past with all the fabulous JW BF releases!
  10. I'm sure Superman: The Movie will also be released this year by LLL, and ✌🏼️ for HP!
  11. So @Jay does this mean you're changing your album cover to this before SUP: II & III gets released?! 🤣
  12. Awesome! I never had the OST so this is a definite buy for me. Samples sound amazing on my headphones!! I've not seen the movie yet either but plan on doing so soon.
  13. His silence speaks volumes... When I posted about the 6 or 10-disc set LLL is supposedly releasing this year per their FB post back in Feb, he was quick to shoot down my IJ theory but said nothing about HP... hmmmm...
  14. Didn’t expect this, looks cool but I don’t collect vinyl. Wonder if there’s a CD version releasing as well? Can’t tell by the pic on my phone if the liners were previously released or new for this release?
  15. Awesome news, I thoroughly enjoyed the first movie and OST!
  16. Odd choice to put S:TM source material on Disc 2! My only thought would be to keep S:TM at 2 discs vs 3 ? They've also got nice high-res images of the set!
  17. Quick question... I see it on this thread and also in the "Filmography" section on the site, that Always is a 1989 OST release, but the back of my CD has 1990. Which is correct and why the difference in labeling?
  18. OMG, that would break my wallet, and possibly end my marriage lol, but it would definitely be one for the books, ages, etc...
  19. Looks like discs 1 & 2 will be Sup II (79:46 score plus 13:17 extras) and Sup III will be disc 3 (64:19 score plus 8:57 extras) if it would be identical to the blue box for what it will have to offer. Love the cover art!
  20. "You will believe a monkey can fly..." 🤣 No doubt it's Superman, only question is if it's referencing Sup 1978 or all 3 scores.
