This season they seem to be incapable of focusing on more than one storyline in an episode. A whole episode solely on Tara and Heath, for example, was completely ridiculous

I think one of the main problems the show has is that there's far too many characters.

Well Frank Darabont (who developed the show) was show runner until the second half of the second season. I think it was a shock when he left. He's a bit cartoonish, I'll admit.

The second half of season 7 is better than the first but still not brilliant. I watched some of the first season today, amazing how the quality has declined.

The new version of "Gaston" is amazing. Can't wait to see it in the film - I hear Josh Gad steals the show.

I think they blew most of their budget for DMC/AWE on that maelstrom sequence

I did think that, but maybe they haven't fully finished the effects yet

Maybe he just doesn't have a massive role in the film, or he does a big part to play and they're just keeping it hush hush
