    I've been listening to John Ottman's new X-MEN: APOCALYPSE score, and one of the standout tracks, for me, is "The Transference". Absolutely love the dark, chant-like choral writing here. Does anyone have suggestions of similar choral writing in other scores, to check out? Thanks.

    I made the foolish mistake of using Christmas iTunes money to buy the three prequel scores a week or two ago. Then, sure enough, they re-upload the scores to the iTunes Store yesterday, now with the "Mastered for iTunes" badge. There goes $30 down the toilet. I should have assumed they weren't only remastering the OT.

    Some brass clams have actually been edited out. Mostly in the horns. Also, the horns tend to sound louder in some tracks, to me. And the sound in these remasters is crystal-clear compared to all the other releases. Pretty stunning.
