  1. I didn't watch The Oscars, because I don't really give a damn about them but I found this quite funny.
  2. Lol. I'm fine. I was mostly just mildly irritated that you were acting as if I believed the rumors to be 100% true and that I was even trying to prove them true somehow, instead I was mostly confused about your assumption of Yates' and Williams' motivations when there actually is proof to the contrary.
  3. Yep, but I didn't say it was proof of that. I quoted those to disprove this part of your comment: That is clearly not the case according to those interviews. I also literally said this if you read my post again: To reiterate, I'm not saying that it 100% happened at all. I'm just finding it weird that you would immediately find that scenario completely unbelievable. It's definitely a believable turn of events in my eyes. It certainly could have happened. Again, could have, not that it did. Good grief, why does everything on the internet have to be either 100% for or against something? That's not how thoughts work. If people are willing to believe all the Star Wars rumors posted by that same user, then why is the JKR one so unbelievable? That was the question I initially posed to you.
  4. What are you talking about? That doesn't even line up with the public stories: Clearly it was something both Williams and Yates did indeed want. It's possible there were scheduling issues, but also just as possible that JKR voted against it and they went with this schedule conflict story publicly to not damage egos or cause problems or whatever. That wouldn't be the first time that something like that would've happened either. It could false, for sure, but I don't think it is at all unbelievable that it could've gone down that way.
  5. I don't doubt that. That sounds quite believable to me. Why wouldn't she have an opinion / get involved in that?
  6. I guarantee they will probably release some Collector's Set at some point with all of this on it. Happened with TFA and the Kelvin Star Trek films. I miss the days where there was one release with everything on it. Of course they may release an Anniversary edition at some point with more, but that's usually 10 or more years later. In many cases now, featurettes are either on some digital service or spread between Best Buy / Target / Wal-Mart exclusive editions. It's annoying as hell.
  7. Agreed on both accounts. That's so common though about some featurettes these days. I imagine they will release another "double dip" edition that will eventually include this on disc ala Force Awakens.
  8. I am a Giacchino pun supporter as well. Most here just don't appreciate the higher level of art that is puns.
  9. On Twitter, yeah, it does. I still personally think there is a reason to believe victims first in these situations in general, but of course things should still be properly figured out through the proper channels and not via Twitter. Since, everyone seems to either not know or not want to say what the situation with him is, here's the short version: https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2020/06/ansel-elgort-allegations-statement Apparently other stuff has come out since, but I don't know for sure. I'm not on Twitter and have absolutely no interest in being on Twitter. I'm quite excited about that as well. Looks awesome. As far as the trailer for West Side Story. Yeah, it's an underwhelming trailer. I can't help but feel they're conveniently cutting away as quick as they can from most of the close-up shots of Elgort where he's the focus. Lol. But it does look well-shot and has a vibe that should be cool. It's Spielberg. I'm sure it'll be great.
  10. While I do find the allegations against Elgort problematic at best, to be fair, Twitter will make up things to be mad about so of course Twitter will react that way. But yeah. Really unfortunate for the film and the rest of the cast and crew, not to mention the people allegedly harmed by Elgort. I will say, I keep seeing people saying that it's not too late to recast him...it really is. These people have no idea how film productions work and how much it would cost to basically remake the entire film. This isn't the case with the film Christopher Plummer was in. He wasn't in nearly every scene as far as I'm aware. It's simply cheaper to put it out as is and face the backlash or to cut their losses and cancel the film altogether.
  11. Oh well yes, but she's not listed as an actor here. I don't count that. Lol.
  12. While that is true, the fact that it's released before the trailer drops makes me think it was purposefully removed to try and pretend a little longer. The poster itself isn't meant to hype the trailer, but is part of the hype that leads up to the trailer is what I meant. That being said, I bet they will continue to try and promote him as little as possible, which is kind of hard to do when he's the male lead in the film. I don't expect to see him in any press tours for sure. I do wonder if they would have actually reshot the film, if it weren't for COVID-19. Probably not, considering again, he's the lead and that would basically mean reshooting nearly the entire thing.
  13. That was my first thought too. Probably trying to get more people to watch the trailer who may not realize right away that he's in this, even though it's pretty easy to figure that out. Once the trailer is out though it will be silly to try and pretend that he's not in it. Unless they have somehow reshot his role and are trying to keep secret who the new lead is, but I highly doubt that.
  14. Thanks for all that info @Jay I didn't know all of that. Even the Potter stuff I had managed to never hear before.
  15. But there WERE changes. Give me the original cut!
  16. Nah. Totally different. The first one was just a "Suicide Squad", no big deal, just ignore them. Meanwhile, these guys are "THE Suicide Squad" they're the real deal. Please forget that other one.
  17. Yeah 2022 sounds like what I expected. Wonder how they're going to deal with this issue in the timeline of things, because by the time they film the next Season they'll be far older than they were probably expecting them to get before the shows end.
  18. Option 1 for sure. At the end of the day, this is Best Original Score and that means you have to put the compatibility with the visuals first and foremost and how well the score works in the film. After that is Emotional Impact. If the music succeeds at making me feel things properly then I don't care how technically well-written it is, what genre or style it's in. If I have two or more scores that nicely fulfills those criteria for me, personally, then I will look at things like style and technical brilliance.
  19. Heard one in the score for Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse the other day. Too similar to be a coincidence to me:
  20. Love that. Looks very fun and at times, looked nothing like a Marvel movie, which I love.
  21. I'll believe it when I see it finally finished on a screen. Lol. The film seems cursed. I'm almost expecting them to fire him midway through or the film to go through numerous delays after it's been shot. Guess we'll see what happens. I very much enjoyed the new IT films, so I have faith that this guy could pull it off. At this point, I have no idea what they're going to do with it.
  22. No and Yes, I think. No, because "Best Film Score Of All Time" hasn't happened yet and won't ever truly happen, because (and I know you don't seem to want to hear this) it is entirely subjective. Sure, there are some things that can be technically and objectively flawless, but I don't think there's a single film score that literally everyone loves. And if you asked all of us what the Best Film Score of All Time is so far, then we'd all have different answers and debate about it endlessly. I answered yes, because I honestly I feel like history repeats itself and things that fall out of fashion will always come back into fashion at some point. Vinyls managed to come back around, people make music today with cassette tapes and decks, etc. I think, if you're concerned about traditional orchestral scores, that there absolutely can be a film that would require one, and it could be a stellar score. It's possible, which was the question. So yes. But regardless, we could have some pretty stellar scores written in the next 9 years whether they're orchestral or not. That's a long time, so yeah it's certainly possible. Do I think it's likely or will happen specifically in the next 9 years? Probably not, but it's possible. What the hell do I know?
  23. Grateful to be included. . Although, I'm sure I have some film score opinions that the "majority" would disagree with. Lol.
