  1. I usually do that, too. But I just tried to listen to it in that special way, for somebody on this platform said, he had seen the movie and during the tracking of the main theme during the hunt scene he had thought "That's it, that's the new Jurassic Park theme!" But it does not work, I have to admit
  2. Yes, it does. Because it is the highlight of the tracking of that title in the movie and now the playlist starts with "The Island's Voice" as it should. - I'm just trying it.
  3. I wanted to say that, whereas 10 people have heard the NBC theme 50 times, 50 people have heard Star Wars 10 times. Of course those numbers are just examples to illustrate what I mean.
  4. Has anyone else put "The Lost World" between "The Hunt" and "Big Feet" on his or her playlist?
  5. I wonder if The Lost World gets a chance to make the list (or at least the top 20) next time after its deluxe treatment by La-La Land.
  6. More people might have heard Star Wars, but the NBC theme is the more often heard one.
  7. Oh sorry, I meant "The Cage" from "Rambo: First Blood Part II". But I can't find the version WITH those inserts on YouTube.
  8. What kind of drums is it that Jerry Goldsmith often uses, for example in "False Image" (00:13) or in "The Cage" (03:00 and 03:36 (newly inserted drums))?
  9. ANOTHER EDIT: "The Cage" now rings awesome with those two inserts. At first that silence and then those agressive drums! And that happens twice!
  10. Same timezone? Nevermind, now I'm gonna dream from ugly badly made sea creatures.
  11. But the score of Leviathan is much better than the score of Deep Rising (one of his worst, but it's fun) Deep Rising, the movie, is awful! So how bad is Leviathan then?!
  12. I'm glad The Mummy, Mulan and The Russia House are not controlled by Varese. Legend neither. Has anyone an idea why Varese at first expands such auto-pilot-scores like Chain Reaction and Executive Decision instead of starting with more important ones like Air Force One, Medicine Man, The 13th Warrior, Small Soldiers or Leviathan?
  13. Isn't Lionheart more than 90 min.? The Mummy is around 100 min., isn't it?
  14. It is quite conspicuous that Williams' scores are always longer than Goldsmith's scores. Whereas Williams has several scores of two hours or more, Goldsmith's "high score" seems to be around 80 to 90 minutes. So, which one is the longest score Jerry Goldsmith composed for a movie? I know "The Shadow", "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" and "Star Trek Nemesis" are all more than 80 minutes, but are there any other scores of that or even more duration which have not been released entirely? What's about "Lionheart", "Air Force One" or "The Mummy"?
  15. And 3/4 of that shitload are Varese's matter. The time of enormous Goldmisth-expansion-waves are over! But luckily The Mummy has a real chance to be done by Intrada! - soon?
  16. Another Rambo III is superfluous. That's because for Intrada there are hardly any scores to expand any more. Except a few titles it's all up to Varese, so why not re-releasing the whole stuff again. There is always a bunch of fans who will buy it.
  17. So - one day, when Intrada, La-La Land etc. are done with all titles available for them, we'll have to wait for Varese slowly and gradually expanding the remaining titles
  18. Yea, but non of the 90s' titles - too bad. Varese should hurry up or at least sell a few licences to other labels - will they do? - doubt it.
  19. So - is there any Jerry Goldsmith CD by Varese which was earlier produced by another label?
  20. The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull can be seen from two points: Firstly as a plain film: Pretty entertaining, technically well made, great characters, a gripping story and a lot of humor! Secondly as a sequel of the Indy trilogy: Disappointing the expectations of a true Indy fans by dumping the typical religious elements and replacing it with sci-fi and nuclear explosions! All in all KotCS successfully connects the old well-known elements with some totally new elements, but aliens and nuked fridges clearly don't belong to Indiana Jones - so imagine what would be the reception of the fourth film without those two scenes. But the trilogy is far better - naturally
