Non-JW Favourite Short Musical Moments

3:06-3:14 gives me tears. Quite possibly the most beautiful thing to mind. -
I decided to finally watch the TP Explained 5 hour video(s). I think it makes perfect sense. Especially as it utilizes the scientific method for coming up with the best answer, knowing Lynch, it's a pretty darn good one. The video also becomes much more effective if you watch the whole thing. It wasn't implying The Return was a spite season. I believe the big ideas Lynch utilizes aren't personal, it's his hands-on work that's personal. So I think he was completing the whole vision with The Return, but that vision needed time to realize. It was almost pre-planned, a continuous observation. I'd already seen all TP episodes, I thought for the last time, but the video has given interest in the show again.

I think Darth Vader's theme would sound interesting if Williams first kept Chopin's harmony of i - VI instead of i - vi, for the introductory scenes, saving the final developments of i - vi for later, to represent a psychological turn of event.

I can't think of a non-musical score more entitled to the success of its film than Titanic. Cuts deeper than anything in the industry Cuts deeper than most music in general.

Has Hans Zimmer aged well?

Actually I like the size of these pictures just fine. I print these threads out on my printer, hanging them around my house as an artistic statement. The threads have versus battles, until one gets replaced and I make a cootie catcher out of them, of which I entertain the neighborhood kids with, a member's post in each slit. The big pictures or gif/memes usually print out as a whole page so I use them as the top of the cootie catcher for decoration. I would appreciate more images like this and of this size in the future. -
I like your resummarization here. "Which films would be the least without their score?" The big one is Titanic. If it has an 7.8/10 on IMDb, then at most 2/3 of that rating is because of the score music burrowing into the audiences' subconscious [1] [2] The common knowledge one Star Wars. At most 1/2 is because of the music. Contrary to belief the film would be able to function alright if it had a different orchestral palette. Then a musical like The Lion King, high rated as well, with an impactful score portion also. Music might be only mildly replaceable. I can start figuring out the less popular ones...

Except in this case you'd still have to agree it's well-scored. Like the Tchaikovsky example I listed. Sort of true also.

Feel free to make a list. I'd personally say these two work quite well, though at a more surface level sometimes for the film. Star Wars' music especially makes the film, but I don't feel it makes the fabric of the story. Though thematic, its more decorative than foundational.

The job of the film composer. Essentially composers who do their job the best, on what movies.

In contrast to Best Film Scores. I've been appreciating film music more especially as a technical position of being irreplaceable to the fabric of a movie. A composer doing what they're paid best to do. The following thread isn't ambiguous in its discussion: It's about music fitting the film instead of a discussion of great stand-alone scores. My scarce (needs updates) selection for best-scored films are: Titanic Vertigo The Matrix Princess Mononoke Black Swan - Tchaikovsky Aladdin Homeward Bound American Beauty Braveheart Casino Royale (2006) Some movies I'm not sure about yet: Life of Pi Star Wars Casablanca Fellowship of the King The Lion King E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial Curse of the Black Pearl
