DID JOHN WILLIAMS COMPOSE THE IJ DIAL OF DESTINY TRAILER MUSIC?
Edmilson replied to Amvanquish's topic in JOHN WILLIAMS
Lots of blockbuster movies have trailers beginning with sparse piano notes. It's so common that it is actually a widely mocked cliché. Still, some are more effective than others, like the first Infinity War trailer: -
DID JOHN WILLIAMS COMPOSE THE IJ DIAL OF DESTINY TRAILER MUSIC?
Edmilson replied to Amvanquish's topic in JOHN WILLIAMS
This is a rather pointless thread, isn't it? JW didn't write the trailer music. He wrote the main Indiana Jones themes in 1981, and then some underpaid young composer working for a trailer house company under an excruciating deadline re-worked those themes into the music you hear in the trailer. -

JW doesn't listen to rock. Or independent music. Or other soundtracks for that matter. -

Your Year in Music 2022 (Streaming Services Recaps)

According to Spotify, my top 5 artists this year were: Danny Elfman JNH John Williams Bear McCreary Thomas Newman Elfman took the lead because when his Dr Strange 2 score was released, I binged quite a bit of some of his older scores available there that I haven't heard before. -
Wait, how graphic is the movie anyway? Does it have explicit sex scenes? Do we get to see Brad Pitt's cock? Tobey Maguire's peen? Margot Robbie's tits? Not exactly a Christmas movie for the whole family

Is the movie any good? I'm kinda curious for this one. The trailers made it look like a rowdy version of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

I never saw the movie and haven't listened to the OST in over a decade (though I of course remember Dry Your Tears Afrika). I want to listen to the expansion as blindly and "spoiler-free" as possible.

What Is The Last Film You Watched? (2022 films)
Edmilson replied to Jay's topic in General Discussion
Black Adam It's bad, but very watchable. The movie is basically just one very long action scene with some smaller moments in between, but the special effects are decent and the cast is entertaining. Lorne Balfe's score is like a guy screaming in your face ISN'T IT SO EPIC AND BADASS? at all times, but I've grown to appreciate his themes for BA and the JSA. Still, I think someone should make a supercut of the movie featuring all the moments with the ubiquitous HORN OF DOOM! -
They say Aaron Taylor-Johnson has a huge... johnson.

Yeah, it's a partnership that can be mutually beneficial for both Netflix and the exhibitors. I hope Glass Onion is just the beginning, and not an exception.

I imagine some people on YouTube and Twitter will be ecstatic with Strange World's flop because one of its central characters is gay. They already celebrated the disaster of Lightyear earlier this year and now this will be a Christmas gift to clickbait-y YouTubers.
