  1. Combination of connections made through failed attempts (email & mail) and reaching out indirectly during a performance date. Not sure, but I think the information I provided about the intended recipient (summarized in my original post) helped a great deal. The personalized autograph tells me that he had read it.
  2. My wife is a music educator, and our youngest son, Aaron, would occupy himself as a little boy after school by watching Star Wars movies on DVD while waiting for her rehearsals to finish up. He developed a love for those movies and perhaps even more for John Williams' compositions. He can identify individual scenes by hearing just a bit of the score and talks about the nuances of Mr. William's music. He has always had a giftedness for music that he honed through his education in both brass instruments and voice. In 2020, I wanted to do something special for him as he pursued his college degree in music education, and decided to aim high with a personalized autograph on the cover of the original Star Wars album. I was disappointed by failed attempts over the course of 2+ years and was astounded when I eventually got it. Last year, he finished his first music education degree and is now the upper school choral instructor at the high school from which he graduated. I was able to frame this album and give it to him for his birthday and to recognize his achievement. It hangs above his desk in his office at school.
