Maybe so...but I bet the public could not hum you a Zimmer score, but they could probably give you a Williams score, whether it be Star Wars, or Indiana Jones, or Jaws, Williams is still the best composer of all time.

Wrath of Khan is James Horner's greatest score ever... for me right now he owns '82. Williams is just perfect and once and awhile you have to give another composer some credit.

Its unfortunate for JG that most of his scores are for average/poor movies.

Its not reusing/or being a hack, its just the composer's style...and its cool when you can spot similarities between their scores.

The thing is this isnt even a surprise. I want the complete recording sessions for every SW movie and anything short of that is a disappointment for me. If someone bought this for me for a birthday/Christmas gift I would at least enjoy it for its packaging alone.

It's because we have not had a new Williams score in what feels like nine years, and there's no official announcement of anything coming soon. Hey Indy IV is coming out in May...thats really not too long when you think about it.

It its not better than Star Wars, nothing is, but it is a classic Williams theme. Its proof that he still has it, so to speak.

Im going to give credit to Giacchino for staying true to his series, despite getting too big for it. Ive loved his previous work in the series, Im going to pick this up real soon.
