  1. Rachel Weisz can age me any way she wants
  2. Hee-hee. I feel the same way about THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN. It's total tosh, but I love to watch it. Then again, and being me, I bloody-well would! Nick-nack! Tabasco! SPECTRE is a great ride. No more, no less.
  3. Nice, azahid! I always enjoy a Tadlow recording. Try EL CID. You won't regret it.
  4. Last night, I watched an absolute classic film, that is, by chance, celebrating its 40th anniversary, this year. Filmed with a cast of - largely - unknowns, it became a touchstone for a generation, spawned many imitators, and helped to propel at least one its male stars to worldwide fame - a situation which exists to this very day. Its influence is still being felt around the world, and, like many films worthy of attention, it was regarded as a game-changer, in the way that films were made. It's a film about love and loss, triumph, and tragedy, and a belief in oneself, and one's potential. I like it.
  5. Bye, bye Bond, it's been nice knowing you.
  6. If Mr. McGuigan can bring to Bond the (very) hard edge of GANGSTER NO 1, he'll do well.
  7. Series 9, DAY OF THE DALEKS, episode 1. "I remember saying to old Bonaparte 'Boney', I said, 'an army marches on its stomach'". Series 19 was Davison's first series.
  8. I loved it when Pertwee mentioned "old Boney".
  9. Well, of course it is...in both respects! It's even more claustrophobic in 5.1.
  10. Thanks for that. Ernest Gold's original OTB is worth checking out. As for Barry's TLlW...
  11. I'm not familiar with three of these scores, but SNOW FALLING ON CEDARS is a lovely score, from a really good film.
  12. There are so many musical delights on TLL: EXERCISE AT GIBRALTAR, the music as the Harrier clears the tower, WHERE HAS EVERYBODY GONE? the title song, the alternate "Pushkin" theme, the music as the Hercules flies into the air base, the "chocolate box" shot of Bond on horseback...
  13. Either THE BATTLE OF HOTH, THE BATTLE OF ENDOR, or ADVENTURES ON EARTH.
  14. Aren't there some rerecordings of TITANIC that feature choirs? "Best Of"s, COP, etc?
  15. THE HUNT, from TLW. It's always bothered me that the OST fades in. Needless to say that in my head, it doesn't. Great stuff, Stu! My favourite Bond score, from one of my top 5 Bond films!
  16. PRINCESS LEILA'S THEME. Sometimes simplicity is very hard to achieve.
  17. I'm sure your wife loves you, whether you have hair, or not.
