I still remember when Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull was going to be released in 2007, I was pretty sure it was JW's last score and was even worried he might pass away before the recording sessions, yet here we are a decade later with 3 more Star Wars scores and waiting for another Indiana Jones score

Anyways it was just some thoughts don't take them personal please. I never read any of them in advance. Loved the Guardians of the Galaxy 3 movie and it was proof they can still make good movies when they focus on the characters and good storytelling . Even if only the JW score is the only thing good about Indy 5 I'll be happy. That's a better way of putting it. Personally I still feel positive about the new Star Wars movies and TV series they released so far, and I agree some people are too harsh on her. And for or better of for worse, if Disney hadn't acquired the rights to Star Wars we'd have absolutely nothing since Revenge of the Sith.

I've decided to only reply occasionally at these type of topics because it was annoying to some people (at least I can admit it) , but whenever I see accusations of racism, misogyny or whatever phobia being used against a portion of the fanbase who don't like some changes made to established characters or franchises I'm going to at least say something.

You know my views regarding the current state of pop culture and even I don't mind Kathleen Kennedy for the main reason she got JW on board to score the sequel movies and write themes for Solo, Obi-Wan and Galaxy's edge. And I actually like Rey as a character and think The Last Jedi is the best movie of the sequels. That said , your post got lots of likes for the wrong reasons (hurling the "misogynist" label at a portion of the fans who don't like the direction the Star Wars franchise is headed or have reservations about the creative choices being made)

We've been pretty much hyped the same for every new blockbuster JW score. Harry Potter, Indy4, SW Prequels,SW sequels... Same pattern: 1-Pre-Release Hype. Look for every preview clip that might contain a few seconds of new Williams music, inventing track lists and album covers, themes speculation... 2-OST release. Everyone commenting on the new themes and posting their reviews. 3-Movie Release: Realising the best cues aren't on the OST and going to the cinema over and over to note the unreleased music 4-Waiting for the FYC release and Blu Ray menus in hope of getting little bits of unreleased music 5-Possible sessions leak and expanded fan edits phase. 6-Official expansion release (Several decades later) But this one might be the last time so it's special.

Mike Matessino: "At least 5" new Williams releases due this year
King Mark replied to Jay's topic in JOHN WILLIAMS
Lately I've been skipping 1 release so I can order 2 titles together , the new one and the previous one Sabrina in this case -
Yeah but at least it's 'official" he wrote the entirety of the score. In the case of CoS he ended up writing all the new music and was too humble to take the credit for it , leading some people to still believe the early press conference saying he'd only write 40 minutes. Maybe when Spielberg quit Indy 5 he wasn't sure what to do for a while

Well, if your able see it in a more detached ,analytical way, and still enjoy the movie, I guess at the end of the day you don't really care that stuff is in there and just acknowledge it. But if some of these things start offending you on a personal level to the point of making you feel uncomfortable, that probably makes the movie much less enjoyable. KotC is a pretty shit movie, but for many more reasons than the supposed racist undertones. I guess we can agree on that.
