So probably the Disc 2 is likely the OST arrangement or different mix with extras and bonus cues.

As per my understanding these Vinyl issues are part of the overall deal. MV mentioned that they came in part parcel of the projects undertaken.

Is this the one where the proceeds from this release will go as donation to some charity? MV mentioned something about it in the FSM threads.

@Stefancos MV mentioned on FSM Questions thread that the LLL E.T. Vinyl is coming out next month ! We have ET coming out next month and if we sell all 1500 units we might barely break even...

Here is Doug Fake indicating about the 2 presentations in the Liner Notes Tech Talk section: "......Jerry Goldsmith and Bruce Botnick assembled the original Decca release from a hybrid of both film takes and alternates.... For Intrada’s complete score presentation plus the alternates, Botnick has prepared brand-new digital two-track mixes of everything, using the 48-track session masters and revisiting his own work from 1999, albeit using today’s enhanced audio capabilities. For the complete Decca album presentation, we have used the digital two-track album master. All source material was housed in the vaults of Universal Pictures in pristine condition and has been used in the preparation of this release with their kind permission." I suspect it was a planned approach to use the film edits where possible. Certainly in the case of the End Credit, otherwise the folks would have screamed at Intrada since they were already used to hearing it.

Folks! Just a query about ordering from Intrada:, When you place an order at Intrada do you get an instant debit on your credit cards like it does on SAE and Varese and get an SMS of it on mobile of the said transaction. Or do you get a confirmation when they actually process and ship your package?

Its a terrific score. Goldsmith surprised me that he wrote two middle eastern tinged score back to back with THE MUMMY & THE 13 WARRIOR. Both projects offered different dynamics. The orchestration in both these scores were tremendously effective. Normally I cringe whenever Hollywood gets in the middle eastern mode; but here the music is so tongue in cheek and yet so smooth. The cues you mentioned are such a joy to listen to and you can help but smile as you get swept up in the lyrical themes. Now that I have mentioned THE 13TH WARRIOR-I'd also love to see that fully expanded and come out via Varese someday.

Mine finally shipped along with SMALL SOLDIERS. Now the hard part to wait it out.

Well. Roger at Intrada just dropped the clue for the second 2cd set. Also coming 7/17, a 2-CD set from a early 00s action/adventure/thriller/horror/comedy...frankly I'm exactly sure how to classify the film but it was overly frenetic. Not like the more fun earlier one. Massive epic score though and finally due its expansion, especially since nothing from the last part of the movie made it to the album it's THE MUMMY RETURNS! 😉

Apparently they confirmed to me on Monday that they were back in stock and should be shipping the next day. So far no shipping email to me either!

For those awaiting shipment of their orders via Varese /Naxos (like myself) should know they are out of stock. They should ship as soon they get their inventory. Just received an update from them. Can't wait. Sigh..
