Spielberg and his dreamworks studio(arnt they dead yet) have acquired the rights to the upcoming book series 39 Clues,

its a childrens mystery,

Spielberg is interested in directing it,

who knows he might fast track this and push of the ever exciting Lincoln.

I have a raging clue, its pointing over there, lets follow your clue

Lincoln is the only thing Spielberg has going for him right now. Children's fare never really interested me....except for Star Wars, I guess. I'd really like to see Lincoln get made. Great actors, amazing story, and a genre badly needing a GOOD movie to be made about it. Quit putting it off for these knock-offs and kids movies that won't attract much attention other than from a few dweebs. No offense guys.

I was appalled when Ratner replaced Singer on X3. Ratner replacing Spielberg on any project is shocking! I was looking Forward to 39 Clues. But there's many other projects I'd rather Spielberg finish before this so if it has to go, it has to go. But Ratner! AAARGH!!!!

Hmmm.....

Spielberg replaces Hitchcock, Rather replaces Spielberg.

He's an inconsequential director. If the script is decent, he'll make a good film (Red Dragon). If the script is bad, he is unable to elevate the movie (X-Men 3)

Love Ratner's work - the RUSH HOURs, RED DRAGON, THE FAMILY MAN, X-MEN 3....all solid films from a guy who knows what he's doing, who pays respect to film history while at the same time having his own unique style.

Never heard of this project before, but I'm sure Ratner will make something good out of it.

Would be cool if we got another Schifrin score out of it too.

When talking about Brett Ratner, how come nobody EVER mentions "After The Sunset", easily his best film?

Is that the one with Pierce Brosnan and Salma Hayek? Never saw it.

Yup! Don't worry, no one else did either :)

The only thing of his I remotely like is the short he did for New York, I Love You.

I saw that movie. His short was crazy!
