couturma 0
Hello everyone, I was wondering if someone could help me locate a compilation of John Williams music. Unfortunately it has been 16 years since i last listened to it so i don't remember the exact details but i will give you as much information as I can about it.I don't remember the exact title, but it was somehting like this: "Music for a Saturday Afternoon," or "Movie Themes for a saturday afternoon." The ocver showed a cartoonish picture of a bunch of kids at theater or something like that. It had the themes to THE STAR WARS TRILOGY, INDIANA JONES TRILOGY, JAWS and E.T., and maybe others. And it had to have been released before 1995 because that was when i listened to it. If anyone help me locate this, or at least get me the title, i will be very grateful.THanksMark
Ollie 1,064
I know what CD you are talking about. It's probably out of print now, I did a quick search on Amazon and couldn't find anything.

Ollie 1,064
I can't remember, I think it was part of a series.

couturma 0
Thanks guys, especially Bellosh. I have just ordered a used copy of the CD. Considering that I own around a hundred Williams soundtracks, including the complete scores to all of the classics (STAR WARS TRILOGY, INDIANA JONES TRILOGY, JAWS, CLOSE ENCOUNTERS, JURASSIC PARK, HOOK, SUPERMAN, REIVERS, etc), you might wonder why i would even bother with this CD. It has concert versions of selections form STAR WARS, EMPIRE, JEDI, RAIDERS and E.T., which i've already heard a million times. It is because this was the very first CD i ever listened to where i was exposed to any music to any of these films. THat was 16 years ago. Thanks to you guys, i will get to relive my past. I'm getting this cd for purely nostalgic reasons. Mark

couturma 0
I'd wonder more where you got the complete scores to JP, Hook and the Star Wars and Indy Trilogies. Surely you know that the STAR WARS trilogy scores have been released in complete form several times since they first came out in 1997 in conjunction with the release of those horrible special edition films. The INDIANA JONES COMPLETE SOUNDTRACKS COLLECTION was released two years ago. As for JP and HOOK, i will say nothing more.
Jay 37,456
The Indiana Jones Soundtrack Collection was NOT complete. And there are no COMPLETE boots out there for Hook or JP that don't contain sound effects over the music, unless you have something the rest of us don't. I've had the two disc versions put out by RCA awhile back and it sure seeemed like they contained all of the music. But then I'm not a soundtrack expert. I just listen to them. and neither are TOD and TLC. I should have said EXPANDED.

ESB is missing an alternate somewhere that's like 25 seconds.RotJ is missing some source music (Max Rebo Band and any version of Lapti Nek), the Jabba concert suite and the finale alternates (the film version of Victory Celebration is not included, nor are the different versions of the original Ewok Celebration). If there is, will someone tell me where I can find it.

couturma 0
I forgot about the original Ewok celeation music. That was a really cool song, i don't know why Lucas cut that out of the special edition and replace with music that I could swon i heard on a commercial i saw for the Outback restaurant.
