King Mark 3,631
I'm not doubting your passions, KM, but I also wouldn't say that you have a huge variance in tastes within film music Well, I like a lot but not much of what's been composed in the past 10 years. The Zimmer era has dragged down the quality of film scores in generalI have to look into videogame scores now for alternatives

King Mark 3,631
I just listened to 3 Brian Tyler scores back to back and found nothing memorable apart the Teenage Mutant Turtles main theme. Pretty depressing as he's supposed to be above RCP standardsAs if the games industry has been spared by the Zimmer influence!A lot of Japanese games have music and themes like we used to have in films. And now they're recorded with orchestra so it's not like the old synth ones

A24 4,351
8-bit chiptune music certainly gave games a distinct atmosphere.
