The Avengers: Age of Ultron discussion thread (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Does that mean Vision is doomed? :(

Nope. There are six infinity stones. Adam Warlock was wearing one on his foreheard in Infinity War, if I remember correctly.

I just assumed he didn't need all of them.

How about in the gloves?

None so far, as you can see in the mid-credits scene of Avengers 2.

So what exactly was this guy's plan? He's just an alien who wants all the infinity stones. I'm sure anybody would. I thought he had one or two by now.

Is there going to be another Thor movie?

Space (Tesseract), Mind (Vision, previously Loki's staff), Reality (Aether from Thor 2), Power (GotG). Time and Soul are still outstanding.

So where are the 6 Infinity stones right now? The Guardians have one. One is in Vision's head. One is in the Tesseract.

In the order they've been introduced in the MCU:

Stone 1 / Space / "The Tesseract" / Red Skull -> SHIELD (First Avenger), SHIELD -> Heimdall, on Asgard (The Avengers)

Stone 2 / Mind / "Loki's Scepter" / Thanos -> Loki -> SHIELD (The Avengers), SHIELD -> Ultron -> Vision, on Earth (Age of Ultron)

Stone 3 / Reality / "Aether" / Jane Foster -> Malekith -> Asgard -> The Collector, on Knowhere (The Dark World)

Stone 4 / Power / "The Orb" / Star-lord -> Ronan -> Irani Rael & the Nova Corps, on Xandar (Guardians of the Galaxy)

Stone 5 / Soul / has not been introduced in the MCU yet

Stone 6 / Time / has not been introduced in the MCU yet

Odd they don't have 3 films for 2016 and 2019, only 2017 and 2018.

I wonder if they will end up adding a Spider-man 2 to 2019's slate.

I feel mostly interested in the movies of new characters than anything else.

Is their an audience for these characters?

Among comic book readers, definitely.

In the movies, I don't know. They can create an audience, for sure. They did this with Iron Man for example.

I just thought of something.

Wouldn't it have been prudent of Marvel to include some kind of setup for Ant-man in a post-credits sequence in Age of Ultron?

Like that Thor's hammer post-credits bit before Thor came out.

Feels like Marvel is starting to scrape their barrel.

I suspect this is actually kind of a good thing. It forces them to make something sort of good or that calls attention to itself in some way.

Plus, they need their Carol Danvers to rival DC's Wonder Woman. They seem to be created out of a similar mold.

Ant-Man looks more like a sort of breather episode that you can see without a lot of setup, probably.

It's funny that a guy who created Ultron is introduced one film too late. ;)

Yes, you'd think Hank Pym would have been introduced in an AAOU post-credits scene, not necessarily Paul Rudd. Heck, they even could have put him in AAOU proper.

So I suppose the original Wasp has gone from one of the funding members of the Avengers to one that's already not there and has nothing to do with anything, while her daughter, who was originally just a villain from a brief moment, becomes eventually the Wasp in everything except in name and relationship to Hank Pym?

Confusing.
