I've just ordered this one! Never listened to the OST before. Does this rank highly in Horner circles?

It’s one of my favorite Horner scores I’ve heard. The lullaby theme is gorgeous. I had the OST but just ordered this the other day. Can’t wait to get my hands on it!

It's one of the best score he wrote. It has some really fun moments and an extraordinary heart lifting piano theme. It's a in the direct vein of The Pagemaster but with a greater versatility IMO.

The LLL release also contains the film version of the opening credits/title card, which remains one of the finest moments of music married to picture in a 90s movie, IMHO.

Good question. Maybe they get liquidated to other 3rd party sellers (Amazon, eBay, Discord) for real cheap.

I've heard that various LaserDisc audio tracks are actually more accurate to the original theatrical presentations including Star Trek: Generations.

I think the main surprise is that these seem kind of short. Some releases sold out after 7, 10 or more years, Casper's license is already expiring after 4, Always's after 3.

It's nothing new. We have been doing it since we started in 2002. All licenses have expiration dates. Alot of the time we are able to sellout or get rid of the stock before the expiration date.

Sometimes (always?) the licenses actually begin before the release actually comes out for customers to purchase. There can be a lot of production factors that delay a release until several years into its license.

You’re telling me Always won’t Always be around?!

Is this score considered among Horner's better ones?

It's got a pretty charming main theme and end title, at least.

I don't remember overly much of the rest.

I find, it sounds a lot like Danny Elfman did at the time, plus a beautiful un-ironic main theme (which I think Elfman never wrote).
