So Nami, much like her mentor, also loves puns as fun as a dishwasher in her track titles. Sigh...

Who do you think was coming up with the puns in the first place? ;)

Loved it.

There's a theme at the beginning of Home is Where the Helm is. I remember the theme from the show but I don't recall the context. I'm watching the end of A Quality of Mercy and it's used for, apparently, a theme for Pike. I might have to look into this. I mean, I can't watch this series for a FOURTH time, can I?

Any time they start to play either the Courage Fanfare or the Main Theme from Star Trek but then veer off in a different direction I always wonder "Are you subverting expectations or avoiding paying a royalty?" It's like the "Not Quite the Force Theme" that opens the Star Wars shows. Does anyone know how these things work? Is it really creative or just financial?

OTOH, they do quote enough of the good ol' Star Trek themes to make me happy. Of course nobody used those themes in a way that felt like an honor rather than a burden like Horner did. Or maybe Barton and Wiedmann.

Neither Nami nor Michael comes up with that puns. That's someone else on the team, I forget who.

Yavar

Yeah that Fringe spreadsheet I was doing a few days ago had tons of pun titles that were reminiscent of Giacchino scores, even though he didn't work on the later seasons. I believe Chris Tilton said on Twitter that his editor came up with the titles

Subspace Rhapsody has a physical release on vinyl. I’m not a vinyl person, but this artwork is perfect for the format, and I loved the episode, so…

I fail to see a logical connection between the two.  Get them both.

When Subspace Rhapsody was released digitally, I told myself if they ever released a vinyl I would buy it.  The retro style and whimsical art aesthetic won me over. So yeah, this will be mine.

That's because you're not looking at my bank statement and bills for the month. :)
