SPOILER TALK: Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny
1977 replied to Jay's topic in General Discussion
You're quite a piece of work aren't you Unpleasant individual -
The PAL LaserDisc Special Edition has an alternate edit of the scene which features more of the actors reacting to the description of what is happening on screen, rather than explicitly showing the animal in the fluid.

"Finally, we’ve learned from industry sources that the 4K Ultra HD release of James Cameron’s The Abyss (1989) in the UK has been cancelled, and for exactly the reason you think—the scene in which the rat is made to breath underwater. UK censors asked for the scene to be cut, Disney apparently wanted to comply, but Lightstorm vetoed it. So if you want this title in 4K and you live in the UK, you’ll have to import it from elsewhere." https://thedigitalbits.com/columns/my-two-cents/122623-1600

You shouldn't make assumptions about people you don't know. -

What are you implying? -
Soundtracks, Compilations, or other recently purchased Music

Jumanji! -
@raferjanders love the alternate, slightly more edgy LBT covers! Are you planning a Sneakers over using the blue circuit board motif a la the foreign posters?

Serious question: should I watch DoD? I was going to, then I saw the teaser trailer and it's all been downhill since then. That iso score though, I need that.

Hi @andrewz nice work on that Witches cover. Would you be willing to consider recreating in high quality some of the earlier Silva Screen recordings featuring the City of Prague Philharmonic? I'm looking for a few of them but due to their age there aren't many options online.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny - Isolated Score Track
1977 replied to DangerMotif's topic in JOHN WILLIAMS
Here you go (scroll down): https://forum.filmozercy.com/watek-isolated-score Not totally up to date but covers the majority. -
I hate boxed sets for the same reason. It's always a stress waiting for a package containing one of those to arrive. My Indiana Jones box has a nasty dent on the back bottom right corner (thanks SAE) and the bonus disc cardboard sleeve has a ding in the same place.

Star Wars Star Wars Trilogy: The Original Soundtrack Anthology turns 30!
1977 replied to Tallguy's topic in JOHN WILLIAMS
I never had a problem until I read about the SQ issues online. Now I can't unhear it, which is quite frustrating as the Anthology Jedi sounds amazing but misses out on the Jabba material. We needed that 5th disc, dammit! -
Well that's gone and done it. Now I have to pick this up. Triple and quadruple dip, here we go!

Oh yes, I checked that one too and all is well. -
I'd love a new recording of Volunteers seeing that the licensor refuses to work with Intrada to get this one out. If I recall, Roger said a while back that the tapes are deteriorating so we may lose this one completely. In any case I'm very excited about this new set of recordings, especially as it carries the blessing of Sara Horner and others that care about preserving and honouring Horner's legacy.
