Bespin 8,483
Dasvidania tovarichtch, I will pass on this one. A Top 10 with only Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff would look like I don't know russian composers well... which is exactly the case!
The Illustrious Jerry 3,356
I only put this because I love the work of Russian composers especially from the early 1900s and late 1800s. Tchaikovsky has always been OK to me. Rimsky Korsakov, Rachamninoff, Prokofiev are all very stunning to me. I love their works. There are also some dark horses like Balakirev's Oriental Fantasy and whoops almost forgot Mussorgsky.

Naïve Old Fart 9,533
If I had to choose, it would be either ROMEO AND JUILET, or any one of the symphonies, by Shostakovich. Geez, that man's a bona fide f"**ing genius!
Wojo 2,453
I fantasized about using the Apotheosis from Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty in my wedding, but she wanted to avoid classical music. It seemed over the top anyway.
Holko 9,526
The only wedding I've ever been to used a compilation of Shore's Shire material - ironically leaving out the one where it's actually used for the wedding of Sam and Rosie. The parents were crying in the front because their children were marrying, I was trying not to cry in the back, because Samwise goes with Frodo to Mordor alone and never leaves him, like Gandalf told him.
