Anyone else think James Horner is better than John Williams?

Sometimes I'm really dull and just visualize the orchestra playing.  Sometimes with myself as the conductor.

As do I quite often.  Really is the way to go.

There's a kind of...phoniness (?) to a lot of Williams' music that tends to annoy me. It's like he's saying musically that this is what it's supposed to sound like. When Horner composed, it was more real.

Williams's music is not really phony.  It is honest.  He writes what he feels is right.

Horner showed his heart much more often.

Does someone with the name Stu have feelings to insult?

A guy named Stu and a guy named Steve, birds of a feather...who'd have thought?

So you don't think the overly sentimental "native" flutes in Willow sound "phony"? They really ruin the score.
