  1. "The shroud of the dark side has fallen" I can enjoy Return Of The Jedi more than ROTS. Agreed, the openers to both movies are rubbish, but Return of the Jedi has its moments. ROTS has just one, and that's the first ... minute of anakin Vs Obi- Wan.
  2. Yes, it really annoys me too when people walk out in the middle of a movie. I certainly understand why you left ROTS, though. As much as I appreciate it when a director tries to capture the audience and make them interested in the film by opening with a fun scene (Bond, LotR for instance), a 30 minute sequence that tells us nothing we didn't know before and that's so full of superficial, bland, and sometimes embarassing stuff can certainly bore you out of the theatre. A problem with ROTS is that it's so unbalanced. You have a 30 minutes OPENER (sorry, I still don't believe it), then an hour of slooow, dry "plot" and "character" "development", an occasional death here and there, and then you got an hour of relentless duelling.
  3. Given what he was forced to say, yes, he was ... " ... to D E M O C R A C Y !" *Audience: gee, I wonder, maybe Lucas wanted to imply something here?"
  4. Can't I just vote for Harrison Ford? But I think I like Indy better. There's more to him than a couple of one- liners. Plus, I think he's more fun, sorry.
  5. lol Yeah, how could I forget that "line"? Who says he didn't? Your post only serves to further reveal the series of crippling inconsistencies George Lucas created with the prequels, by raising even more questions (and this isn't meant to attack you, jedimaster). And by the way, I don't think killing off Jar Jar in a slapstick way would feel wrong, since he never was a serious character. It wouldn't feel any "wronger" than saving a whole planet by a slapstick moment (see Episode I) ... And I don't think Jar Jar is exactly what you call a "major character".
  6. I would, if there were any enjoyable parts ... When I point out obvious plot holes, bigger than the DEATH- STAR (isn't it always written in capital letters? ), "to rip the movie apart" is hardly the word, isn't it? I'd rip the film apart if I'd say, for instance, that the unclear fate of Count Dooku's lightsaber was intolerable ...
