  1. Uhm, do you even know what plagiarism is? So, what's wrong? Anyone has the name of the original "british grenadiers"?
  2. What springs me in mind: American Journey: Arts and Sports I hear some Witches of Eastwick Empire of Sun: Chopin Op13 Nr 4 (intended, too obvious) Empire of Sun: aswell in the Patriot the british grenadier (no clue what's the original title is, but i guess some britsh army march) AI: somewhere other mentioned but if i recall correctly a quote of Strauss
  3. please keep in mind, that I am from the same country Andreas is and I do know damn well the law situation especially when it comes to Computer related things like internet. It's my job...and freedom is of speech IS in our constitiution I don't wont to troll this thread or forum, just want to assure it stays the way it should.
  4. Nevertheless, the server is his ownership and responsibility, so he is free to enforce a certain discretion. You are absolutely right and I would do it some kinda the same way Andreas does, but a conversation and sharing opinions or discuss how things can be accomplished should stay free to discuss for the sake of freedom in speech or whatever and not be cut down by misinterpretation of law.
  5. unless we do not have a John Williams religion and praise the master for what he is (a god) I see no point in debating things that's dividing people from the early beginning on with no end to come. I find this place as good as it should be.
  6. 1)That's not true at all. If you own a DVD / CD whatever and want to make a private copy, you are free to do so unless you break a copy protection mechanism. So, you have a right making a 1:1 copy. That's why we are paying a blanket fee on every CD-R, etc. 2)You are allowed to share music / movie with a close friend (not spreading it to unknown individuals) 3)Ripping audio from a CD / DVD is completely legal unless you do not own the medium and break a CP. I can understand Andreas point, he is according to law responsible for the content of this side (unless it would not be a moderated forum, which it is) But the boundaries of legal vs illegal are not that strict as how he put it. So, to make it clear once and for all: Unless you don't post a description on how to circumvent copy protection mechanism, you a free to do so!
  7. nice to see you find time for this again. Keep up the good work!
  8. Put some sort of signature onto the covers. At least the bastards on ebay selling YOUR work there should not have it to easy...and Miguel, don't be to harsh to yourself. My Covers would be single colored
  9. If I recall correctly there is a plan for an Ultimate Edition with does not extend the movies but offers a lot of cut sequences which didn't make it into the movie for several reasons. I can imagine some of them are scored by Shore and will make it into the "rarity discs". On wikipedia ( I know, no scientific source for quoting) there is a list of many scenes cut of by P. J..
  10. Nice work! That's why I like this place. So many talented and creative people here, yet there are so many unused themes from Williams. There is work to do
  11. Isn't it unfair comparing 10 CD's of music to 2.5 (where COS is half a CD)?
  12. does anybody know if and when this concerto is going to be recorded?
  13. Really looking forward to the subtile rendition of Isengard's theme when Saruman (debateable) stands on the rests of his tower and gets killed.
  14. This is one of the first time I have to fully agree to someones post here. There is so much beautiful music out there which is non of Williams. But it is Williams who opened my eyes and ears for it. Furthermore I am among those Williams listeners that like to take his music out of the actual context of the movies (which are debateable). Thus his concert works and music for films have no difference to me. It's Williams. Go for Prokofiev, Stravinsky or Sibelius (actually there are just a *few*, the list is not ending) and you get a little Williams here and a little Williams there. If you need the context of "movies" go for ballet or pragram music and will find very similar ideas which make Williams so great. "Filmmusic" in my opinion is just interesting because this is where most orchestral music is written for today (but I could be mistaken).
  15. great news! I love your "complete disc sets"
  16. King Mark splited this track into two parts. And I agree to I am the senate. Amazing cue. I especially like the rapid horns near the end (though there is as much sfx in it as in the above cue)
  17. Anakin's Dark Deeds is so weak compared to "Padmes Plea". What would I give for a clean sfx free version of this cue (cudos to King Mark and his amazing afford!)
  18. Imo the best rendition of the theme can be found in "Saying Goodbye" at ~ 2:00mins. Not to forget to mention "Follow Me" one of Williams funny cues like "The Promenade" in Jaws. One of Williams underrated work.
  19. Is there already set a date for the recording sessions and the time this leaks to the net?
  20. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade OST. After this I played Rebel Assault I and there was this amazing piece in the cut sequence called the force theme. Bought the SW SE A New Hope which missed this rendition of the theme and realized it's the same composer. Thus bought all the rest of the SE's. Hell, this were just freaking good times. Ran into every CD store and always coming back with at least one Williams score. Hard time for my wallet but who cared
  21. Just one: Lion King when I was young and naive. And know what: It will just stay this way
  22. Thank you Morlock, a member we can always count on Now I don't have to go nuts every time I hear this piece somewhere on TV.
  23. Hallo my little green score addicted friends out there, Im looking for the title and composer of the melodramatic music which is played during the simpsons episode when Lisa is looking the soccer documentation which was given to her by Homer. It begins right after the statue of virgin maria "comes to live" (~17min : 40sec). It's a really well known piece I am desperatly looking for. Gimme a hint if someone knows. Thanks -ins Edit: To make things a little easier, I have attached a small 20 sec snippet of it: (removed)
  24. This time you really got me confused But looks great! Good work. Now I've to get his new CD's
  25. Yeah, the European OST release atleast in Germany was copy protected. Wouldn't play on computer devices.
