  1. After over 250 hours of play time, I’ve completed all 152 shrines, every side adventure, all but one side quest (Where Are the Wells?) and all but two of the main quests (Find Princess Zelda and Destroy Ganondorf). I've explored all of the Depths and all the Sky Islands. I’ll be exploring any unexplored areas of Hyrule, including caves (I feel like finding the rest of the Bubbulfrogs and collecting the bubbul gems) finishing the one side quest left, and then locating the rest of the armor sets before fighting the Demon King. This has been a masterpiece of a game; the story is great, the game-play is engaging, and the music is great too.

  2. The more I see the film , the more I love it. I can’t wait until it comes out on 4K Blu-ray. Also, every time I see the film, I notice more details in the Maestro’s score that make it even more phenomenal, all the more wishing for the complete score to be released (along with the rest of the Maestro’s work, of course). I REALLY hope we get a score-only version of the film.

Saw it last night in the theaters and am listening to the soundtrack on youtube right now. Both are outstanding, much surpassing my expectations.

Amazing they can make a high quality action adventure starring an 80 year old man. And much of that credit goes to the 91 year old composer!

Cheers to the whole crew: Harrison, Maestro, George, Steven, Mangold, Kennedy, Phoebe WB, Mads, and the others that brought this to life.  Thank you for this last adventure!!! Fantastic!

I just got out of seeing it the third time. Nailed it right on the head. Shared sentiments all around. Heck, I’ll be seeing it a few more times (the wait for the 4K Blu-ray release will be quite a bit, possibly until mid-November or December); not only is it a great finale to the Indiana Jones Saga, but I intend to memorize as much of the Maestro’s score as possible. All of it was prominent and clearly heard in the sound mix. Some theaters don’t have the proper set-up for the sound mix, which is unfortunate. Fortunately, mine did.

  4. This was a really nice interview with the Maestro.

I wanted to go radio-silence, but here I am.

Mangold TOLD Williams to write a theme reminiscence of the 40s/50s, not the 60s.  Why suggest that Williams is therefore out of step with the director after doing exactly what he was told to do?

Mangold's comments likely have more to do with how the theme would be used in film with respect to other dimensions of her character, which Williams knew would not be a problem.

According to Mangold’s quote, in his opinion Williams ended up being right about the theme. Remember, it was Mangold who suggested that he perform it at the Hollywood Bowl 9 months early, which was basically unprecedented. Elsewhere, he has also been highly complimentary towards the score. It’s not like he has had beef with this theme this whole time, but held his tongue just because it’s John Williams; it seems to me that he actually loves Williams’ music for the film and is more than content with what he got from JW.

Wait, are you just hoarding them or have you converted them to energy cells? I'm assuming so, because that's all they're good for

I am saving them up to convert to energy cells. I'm waiting until I accumulate at least 4,300 crystallized charges; that should be more than enough to provide all 16 energy cells.

What exactly do amiibos do? I am contemplating getting Link from Tears of the Kingdom, and now definitely considering getting these two as well.

  6. Oh, yeah. I've noticed that too. Makes things more challenging. I've also noticed that blood moons seem to happen more frequently than they did in Breath of the Wild. It not only spices things up; it makes sense story-wise as well, as the Demon King is the source behind it. Calamity Ganon in Breath of the Wild was merely his hatred made manifest.

  7. That was the only thing I did not realize; that Lynels are under stables. Encountering the larger monsters in the Depths the first time is…terrifying. @Jay, I have not even mentioned the best part regarding monsters in the Depths. I’ll let you discover that yourself. All I will say is that something occurs after you finish investigating the Regional Phenomena.

  8. I’ve accumulated over 3,400 crystallized charges and explored nearly every corner of the Depths, and found every Light Root with the exception of one. Having the Depths lit up and being able to navigate it is a relief; navigating it in total darkness was a nightmare; having 999 bright bloom seeds DEFINITELY helped. Also, a good tip to note is Light Roots are directly below shrines on the surface. I’ve also found every Yiga camp in the Depths. Another good tip; if you are well prepared, fighting the larger monsters in the Depths rewards Link with large crystallized charges (each equal to 20 regular ones).

  9. Oh, I also activated all of the Skyview Towers and investigated quite a few of the sky islands. There are still some sky islands out of reach at the moment, which is why I am saving up on zonaite to convert to crystallized charges to increase the amount of battery cells needed to power Zonai devices. That is also why I am exploring the Depths; a lot of zonaite deposits are down there, not to mention the MANY monsters (especially Froxs, Hinoxs, Stalnoxs, Zonai Flux Constructs, and one monster I encountered for a side quest then immediately bolted to avoid fighting it; it is a surprise to encounter when discovered in a specific region of the Depths) that release zonaite and crystallized charges when beaten.
