  1. Power anthems and ethnic wailing are all the rage, don't ya know. Proves though how much of an influence the money men have when it comes to music in their movies, not that anyone here should really be surprised by this. The Jerry and John sound is all but dead and so last century.
  2. They'll get theirs the year after Simon Cowell recieves his.
  3. Just don't go calling it a masterpiece, 'coz Joey might be lurking!
  4. I love Avatar and I'm bored to hell with this debate. It's just going around in circles and both sides are wasting their breath. I really couldn't give a shit about the fact that some peeps don't like it, there's plenty of other movies to go around. I wonder though, do people here spend more time moaning about movies than they do praising them? I don't know.
  5. I think it's better to focus on new experiences, but that's just me.
  6. Difficult to say, but Titanic probably will be. Do I think Avatar will become a classic? No.
  7. Sure, but has he become as disillutioned as his fans?
  8. Ad much as I love the criminally underrated Silvestri Predator, I don't think this is bad news at all. Debney could do something really cool with this, so long as he doesn't fall into the overscore trap, as he has in the past. Already I can hear a lot of boom-tish.
  9. The Queen needs to get a move on with that honoury knighthood he's owed.
  10. Thanks, that's what I thought. I seem to remember that they treated the original cut with the same disdain which Lucas handled his SW theatricals with.
  11. The special edition of ET is horrible, I avoid it. The cg ET work is nearly as bad as Jar Jar Binks. It bugs the hell out of me that it has become the version which airs on tv.
  12. In absolutely NO circmumstances should cgi EVER be added to Jaws. If Spielberg ever did it I'd turn my back on him. I'm getting annoyed just thinking about it.
  13. Pretty much the same here. A part of me would even like to see a stupid remake, just for the sheer novelty value of the thing. Either way the original will always be untouchable. I would really only take issue with anyone who thinks it will be a good idea to update the original with cgi and re-inserted scenes. A special edition.
  14. Accept its against [unwritten] board rules to suggest that Zimmer has artistic talent and intellectual motivations, here. Of course, the rest of the MASSIVE world wide web aren't so haughty, thank God. Sometimes the opinions of this place remind me of the British tabloids, in that they're good for a laugh - but hardly ever right.
  15. Damn, they just don't make those paranoid everybody hates us cartoons like they used to. That cartoon was never screened here in the UK, which is a shame.
  16. Oh dear, so now people are complaining about the lack of realism in Jurassic Park. Time I browsed a different thread.
  17. Indeed, I was greeted by some anal workout imagery. I thought Charlie had gone postal on us for a moment.
  18. On my iPod Touch that link directs me to a mobile streaming porn site. XxxBunker or something. Koray will proclaim HZ music superior to John's score, as will Indy 4 who will proclaim it to be a better movie. Ah, but will Koray smell a flop a couple of days into release? He's like a bloodhound that lad!
  19. Well, Morricone is arguably the more original musical voice of the two.
  20. Subjective, but I agree nonetheless WHY JOHN WHY?!! Just give us a damn DVD already!
  21. Not to mention the fact that he's still working and performing (he's 81), plus the fact there are 5.1 Dolby Digital DVD releases of his concerts - a heavily sought after thing that a certain someone can't claim to have.
