  1. Agreed, especially the part when all the light goes out from the room and Han and Ren are standing there in silent darkness. Immensely tense. Rarely have I heard a theater so silent.
  2. I'd think it'd be hard to have not at least suspected Han was going to die during that scene as soon as we saw him he walk out onto a platform hundreds of feet above the ground with no railings.
  3. So far, we don't know that much besides the fact John Debney is scoring it. The audio CD is set to be released April 15th according to Amazon, with this being the cover art: As you mentioned, we got this vid of Debney conducting a bit of his take on "The Bare Necessities" (some of which we heard in the 2nd trailer) last month: As far as I know, samples and track titles have eluded us at this point. Richard Sherman, who wrote most of the songs for the 1967 film with his brother, is returning to write some new songs for this film, which is kinda cool. I think that's pretty much it. Sorry if you already knew all this, bud.
  4. Makes the title of his Comedians in Cars episode that aired in January a bit unfortunate. http://comediansincarsgettingcoffee.com/garry-shandling-its-great-that-garry-shandling-is-still-alive
  5. Damn, you're my kind of guy, Pilgrim. Absolutely love, love, love that theme. That's my go-to for converting Zimmer skeptics, and it usually works. Sometimes it sounds kinda more subdued and mature, making it ace as far as a love theme is concerned, but then sometimes it's (as is the case in Drink Up Me Hearties @ 2:33 or so) a bit more celebratory and jaunty, making it more a theme I associate with pirates and almost the romanticizing they've experienced in modern culture as individuals who got to sail around the world with nothing but the wind at their back and open seas ahead.
  6. I felt I currently lacked the prestige within the community to throw blows at senior members without some level of clarification/apology. Some day, though! Some day.
  7. Jwfan224: Of the 164 posts you've made, approximately 18 of them have been liked (assuming 1 like per post). That means that about 11% of your posts were well-received by members or somebody connected with what you said enough to visually indicate it with a like. Stefancos, one of our top members, has received 2009 likes over the course of 91,166 posts, meaning that about 2.2% of his posts received likes or somebody connected with them. What I'm saying is that, if you were to stick around, it seems likely that you would attain a popularity within the community that exceeds Stefan by at least 9%. I say that's a challenge worth sticking around for. Overtake Stefan, and you can achieve a power greater than any JwFan member. Disclaimer: I pick Stefancos because 1) I know he can take it and 2) he was one of the few members I could find that could make this scenario work heh heh. No hard feelings.
  8. Only a Sith deals in absolutes. EDIT: Which, honestly, is a stupid line because Obi-Wan ends up saying an absolute in the process, meaning that he is a Sith by such logic.
  9. It sure would be nice to have the power to "accidentally" leak all that unreleased music out on to the interwebs.
  10. For once, I wholeheartedly agree with you, good sir!
  11. And you've got to love Indy sharing his theme a little with Short Round!
  12. Agreed. Probably one of my favorite bits of music in general, coinciding nicely with one of my favorite film endings of all time.
  13. I wonder what such an experience must be like for Williams? Is he able to enjoy such an event solely listening to his own music or does he sit there thinking about things he should have tweaked or altered when writing the piece?
  14. I have found that since release my appreciation for Rey's theme has only continued to grow and grow, as I continue to marvel at how well it works in quiet and large moments, in scenes of darkness and light. It packs that versatility we have come to appreciate from Williams' themes.
  15. Joke would have been funnier if you had had your old avatar, BloodBoal.
  16. Simon Pegg in Talks to Join Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One
  17. That makes sense. It's What I Do probably won't take Spielberg a whole lot of time to make.
