  1. I'm just worried that he won't get to Episode IX. Not sure my OCD could cope with eight JW Star Wars (episode) scores and one solitary Giacchino entry
  2. Incredible how busy he's been the past few years. Makes me kinda disappointed about the gap between Munich and KOTCS
  3. Will be interesting to see what Johnson does in general regarding the scoring process. Is he very hands on? Or will he just let JW get on with it?
  4. I totally agree. Since Giacchino's excellent 2015, TFA and the return of Morricone, it's all gone a bit flat.
  5. Surprised no Desplat nomination. He's has a pretty solid year. Thought Florence Foster Jenkins or The Light Between Oceans maybe would have snuck in. Of course The BFG is superior to all those scores. 😏
  6. Sometimes I wonder whether whoever nominates these scores even bothers to listen to them, or any other score for that matter
  7. http://www.denofgeek.com/uk/movies/star-wars-rogue-one/38564/star-wars-rogue-one-gareth-edwards-opens-up-about-reshoots
  8. I always thought exactly this. Is there any actual confirmation that Grindlewald himself is gay?
  9. Please do not mention the Cursed Child whilst talking about Harry Potter canon, thank you!
  10. Newt and Tina are apparently also alive at the same time Harry is at Hogwarts
  11. It's best to completely ignore the films when it comes to the ages of characters. Harry's parents were 21 when they died and look at them in the films. Snape, Lupin, Sirius and Wormtail are all meant to be the same age (late 30s).
  12. 1) Django Unchained 2) Sicario 3) La piel que habito 4) Saving Mr Banks 5) The Social Network 6) La cara oculta 7) Spotlight 8) Dallas Buyers Club 9) Still Alice 10) Toy Story 3 11) El Cuerpo 12) The Lego Movie 13) Les Intouchables 14) Me, Earl and the Dying Girl 15) Inside Out
  13. That's almost exactly the same as whem Draco Margot unknowingly became the master when he disarmed Dumbledore in HBP
  14. I only really notice it in the brass. Compare the brass in the prequels to TFA.
  15. Damn, I misread 2010 as 2000 and just wasted 10 minutes of my life coming up with a list
  16. As we're slowly approaching the end of the year, I was just wondering what you guys' favourite cues are from 2016? Are there any hidden gems that people may have missed? Mine are as follows: "Meet the Pets" - Alexandre Desplat "The Light Between Oceans" - Alexandre Desplat "To Giant Country" - John Williams "Relieve Him of His Wand / Newt Releases the Thunderbird / Jacob's Farewell" - James Newton-Howard "Main Titles - Jungle Run" - John Debney "Mowgli Wins the Race" - John Debney "Alice" - Danny Elfman "The Battle of the Legends" - Lorne Balfe/Hans Zimmer "Strange Days Ahead" - Michael Giacchino "Meet the Sisters!" - Dario Marianelli "10 Cloverfield Lane" - Bear McCreary "Pee-wee's Morning Routine" - Mark Mothersbaugh If this topic has already been started somewhere, feel free to delete this and point me in the right direction!
  17. I'm looking forward to his end credits suite. He's done some great ones over the past few years (Jedi Steps and Finale is amazing) having all but abandoned them (albeit for some cut and paste jobs) in the early 2000s.
  18. POA sounds incredible, perhaps the best sounding JW album.
  19. Incredible how we're already 6 episodes in and literally nothing has happened
  20. Yeah it was done purely for the 3D effect, same with Bellatrix Lestrange's death.
