  1. I recommend Spitfire Audio's organ library called Union Chapel Organ. It's the best organ library out there by far IMO!
  2. It wasn't a last minute job, it's just mainly a Wallfish score where Zimmer helped out. He worked one day/night with Wallfish and then he went on tour for 2 months while Wallfish was working on it alone. Then he came back and worked on it for 2 weeks before going on tour again. Also, Wallfish is credited first in the film (which antovolk pointed out).
  3. It seems like Johansson left the project early, as they watched the first cut of the movie with zimmer and wallfish.
  4. Then just convert flac to apple lossless... I have a mostly lossless audio collection and I use only iTunes.
  5. Zimmer spoke about a secret movie he was working on in between tours, in a recent interview, so this must be it. So this is as close as Zimmer has worked with Ridley Scott since Matchstick Men and Black Hawk Down.

Hey has anyone watched the latest episodes of Agents of Shield? The whole framework/aida storyline has been the best in the whole series IMO!
  7. I really hope he ends up scoring the whole film series! However, I read somewhere that film 3, 4 and 5 might not feature Newt as the main character so maybe they're taking those movies into another direction, focusing even more on Dumbledore and Grindelwald's story, but even so, I'd say KEEP JNH!!! but if they don't then get Desplat!
  8. Yeah I'll probably compare it after re-watching the film!
  9. Did you ever listen to the whole FYC? I'd really like to know wether the first 16 tracks are different or unreleased!
  10. Try listening to Hedwig's theme and true romance, maybe that'll cheer you up. I still feel like no music can make me feel much better today:(
  11. It has been said that Inferno will feature orchestra, choir and electronics so I think it'll be a mix.
  12. I thought Spectre was spectacular! Even better than Skyfall (which I liked). I have high hopes for this one as I loved the original!
  13. Too bad they canceled it. Maybe another network like Netflix could add it to their catalogue and make new episodes.
  14. The love theme is wonderful! Hum, each to his own I guess. I'm really a strings person! I would like there to be a sequel, just to hear more of that theme!
  15. Yes I totally agree! It's a wonderful theme! His orchestrations really shine when he writes these harmonious beautiful themes! I love the strings in that cue!
  16. I saw the movie the other day. It's not the most inspired movie I've ever seen but it's pretty fun. The score is good! There are themes that return from the snow white score like the main title theme, ravenna's theme and a few other motifs. The new main theme / love theme is beautiful! I love the flute variation in "You Shouldn't Walk In Shadows" and how it returns in full orchestral grandeur later in the score! The action cues are partly good but some of them are a bit boring to listen to IMO. All in all a great effort by JNH!
  17. Same here. It's my favorite HZ score of his entire career. He really went into a new direction with Nolan. I can't wait for Dunkirk, which he is already working on!
  18. I am a Spitfire user so I always use the BML woodwinds. I think they sound the most realistic and as I use BML strings and brass, everything sounds great together. The mic positions are really useful as well because even though Spitfire libraries are rather wet, if you use the close mics you can get a drier sound, so they're very versatile. There's a few articulations I would like to have that are missing, but they'll be in Volume 2 which should be out this year.
  19. He actually did Black Mass as Tom Holkenborg. I was surprised to see that he brought back "JXL" for BVS.
  20. I'm judging the album, as that's what I've got for comparison right now. Maybe after having seen the movie next week I'll have changed my mind.
