  1. And here, I think, is the video for anyone interested: https://youtu.be/yG89foiPV0U?t=3612
  2. Here is performance of this piece by Simone Pedroni. For select few with the link, because it's "not public" for reasons unknown.
  3. Hello! For anyone interested there will be concert held in Poland, Wrocław, featuring music from Heroes of Might and Magic 2, 3 and 4 games, composed by Paul Anthony Romero. More info and tickets purchase option under this link: https://www.bilety24.pl/koncert/the-symphony-of-heroes-featuring-music-from-heroes-of-might-and-magic-c-ii-iii-and-iv-32266?id=157972
  4. I don't think this is re-recording. It's almost certainly samples.
  5. Don't know about classical precedent, but Zimmer was surely ripping himself off to some degree.
  6. This version is terrible. My worst fears, after seeing track running time, have been realized. That's a real shame, because I love original "Hymn to the Fallen".
  7. It's constantly on replay for 3 days in here. Great work indeed!
  8. Oh yeah! I have tried few times to give a chance to Kiner's creations, but just couldn't handle them.
  9. Nice find! Also this example seems pretty similar if we are onto "War of the Worlds":
  10. Here you can have a listen to some of the music composed by Haab to Battlefront's DLC called Rogue One: Scarif. http://starwars.ea.com/starwars/battlefront/rogue-one Hot or not? I invite you all to post your thoughts.
  11. I have listened to the score twice now and was not particularly impressed, or repulsed, by anything. It's definitely a very solid soundtrack (and mediocre Star Wars soundtrack), but I don't predict revisiting it very often. I am quite sure it works great in the context of movie. The thing I regret the most is that Rogue One gig didn't go to much more capable hands of, say... Gordy Haab! What a lost opportunity! The least we would get is a very competent Williams' pastiche. And almost certainly something much, much better. Oh well...
  12. I think it's her "fighting" motif. It appears just after she scares three alien thugs away from Scotty, fights Krall's right hand at the top of the building, leads Bones and Spock during the attack on the village, while Kirk distracts everybody riding his bike. And probably in some other places in the movie that I don't remember.
  13. I guess what that person means is the mixing/mastering/sound quality, not the composition itself.(?)
  14. I believe this is her "theme". It's more of a catchy motif than a serious theme, really:
  15. If you mean the piece around 9:50 it's an old theme by Gordy. 1:42, 2:28 Even has your comment, sir!

  17. I know that Gordy Haab (SW:Battlefront/SW:TOR/SW:Kinect/Halo Wars 2) uses pen and paper. He has dedicated team of mock-up artists that help him present his ideas to producers utilizing virtual instruments. He has mentioned it in several interviews. http://cpa.ds.npr.org/wshu/audio/2016/10/GordyHaabMix.mp3 6:18 Not really a "film composer", but thought I will post this anyways, since I am his psycho-fan.
  18. http://wshu.org/post/music-respawn-gordy-haab-composes-b-side-tracks-star-wars-battlefront http://cpa.ds.npr.org/wshu/audio/2016/10/GordyHaabMix.mp3 I recommend to listen from 10:50 to 12:00 for something particularly interesting! Since we now know that Williams is aware of Haab's existence do you guys predict John was impressed with his music and will possibly recommend him for Star Wars movie in the future? Or was he utterly appalled by the cheap rip-off Gordy has composed and approved his music only because he is a polite and gracious man and didn't want to destroy poor bloke's career? Post your thoughts!
