If these tracks are not available on the soundtrack, how do you guys know their names? Do you have access to the score sheets?
They leaked long ago. Additionally, the BMI website has a wealth of cue titles.

I forgot the name, but I also want the cue at the beginning of Azkaban, where Harry is talking with Ron's father.
That menacing cue. Very short but amazingly effective and atmospheric.
"Discussing Black" is the title. It blends very well with the preceding cue ("Shawm") and if PoA ever gets the "expanded/complete" treatment, I hope that a bonus track is supplied that has the two edited together as they are in-film. It's crazy how the OST uses that leitmotif, like, once!

I thought it was Cokie.
That's what Bill Wrobel thought and I don't know why... the original sketch says "Hedwigs [sic] Tries a Coke". Nowhere is there written cookie or cokie or cocaine.

What's funny is that the closest tie the final advertisement had to Harry Potter was Williams's music. And I suppose the presence of owls.
When WB announced the partnership, moms got upset because they felt like Harry Potter was encouraging kids to drink soda and live lethargic lives, so there are pretty much no direct connections to HP at all in that YouTube video.

Current bid has jumped from $29 to $102.50 since we first learned of its existence on eBay...
This is why it's rarely a good idea to advertise an eBay item like this until after it's been purchased.

I like Spider-Man 3 not as a serious continuation of Peter's journey but as a fun, quirky bookend. The number of unintentionally hilarious moments in that movie is outstanding.

That's a light deviation from the magic she lays out in the books that I can take. What sends me into apoplectic anger is Voldemort turning to ash and floating away when he dies.
As I suspected, I've commented on this before:
If you look hard enough on the Internet you'll actually find a behind-the-scenes image of Voldemort's death shot "correctly": Harry standing over his dead body. But I guess the flashy CGI route was more appealing to them.

Why would you store WAV on your computer? FLAC carries the exact same information at a much smaller size because WAV bitrates are constant.

Anyone with a Williams/Giacchino hybrid avatar should be promptly banned.
I was wondering what that amalgamation was. Yikes!

I thought Bates did an all-right job on the first.

They probably forgot to turn a layer on in Photoshop when the booklet was finalized.
Personally I'm quite amused at the idea of a T-Rex gumming down prey rather than grinding it to pieces!

He certainly isn't as meticulous as Giacchino.

My favorite is "The Arrival Of Tatooine". It makes it seem as if the planet of Tatooine suddenly barged into the plot unannounced.
Actually, that is sort of what happened, so never mind.

We finally get a look at the cue numbers, for those of you who like that stuff.

In an alternate reality, it would be fun to know how Deathly Hallows in particular would have turned out by each of the three other HP directors. Starting with whether they all would have still split it in two or if anybody would have done it as one film.
I recall reading somewhere (who knows if it's true) that early on in development they were toying with the idea of splitting the first book into two movies, and having the split point be just as the first Quidditch match is starting. Thank goodness they didn't do that!

There are a lot of grievances to be had with 1 and 2, but they are a lot easier to digest and enjoy than anything after 3.

I wish I could visit an alternate timeline where Chris Columbus directed all the movies, and see how much better they'd be compared to Yates's films. One big difference would be the ability to see what's going on onscreen.

I still want to know if the FOTR reissue will be identical to the 2005 set, or redone to remove tracking and restore Shore's intentions
As much as I'd like to see that, I doubt they'd expend the time and money to redo the set to that extent.
Many consumers probably aren't aware or would even understand what material is missing. They might not even care: "I don't want all that useless stuff that wasn't in the movie, I just want the soundtrack the way it is in the film." We all despise the 'ultimate edition' to The Phantom Menace but I'm sure casual consumers couldn't care less about what's tracked and what isn't. We die-hards are a minority, and maybe not even a very vocal one.

I have a bad feeling that complete prequel score releases would follow in the tradition of many expanded Star Wars sets, and be fucked up in some way.
-
I'm struggling to figure out what in the world those 4-CD sets are, especially since there's no superhero material until next year.
Could they be releasing their "by request" Star Trek compilation?
-
17 years they've been making these films and they still don't know what they're doing... sheesh!
-
I would get this, but I just know I'd listen to it only 1/12 of the year.

Not just that - it has several minutes of music that were simply not even used in-film (or on the OST).
