  1. Pan’s Labyrinth (2006) An engrossing and haunting fantasy/war film from Guillermo del Toro. There’s a lot to appreciate here; I really loved the visuals and especially the creature effects; del Toro is a master of striking and imaginative imagery, and it really shows here. Fine performances all around; I really liked Ivana Baquero as the heroine Ophelia, and Sergi Lopez was excellent as the truly despicable Captain Vidal. Overall I enjoyed it a lot, and there are many scenes that will stick with me for some time. Definitely worth a watch! 4 and 1/2 stars out of 5
  2. I'm really not sure why they're bringing back the classic logo for this one? In retrospect, it will look strange alongside the previous two movies' logos, especially in a boxset.
  3. This movie is gonna be a huge dumpster fire and I am here for it.
  4. Parasite. Saw this last week. Definitely one of the best movies I’ve seen in a while. Great story, great performances, great score... it’s just great! I love how it tackles all these different genres at once and it pulls it off so well. It’s at once a thriller, satire, comedy, and family drama. It all just works so well. Will definitely be revisiting this one in the near future!
  5. Apocalypse Now and Full Metal Jacket are two very different movies.
  6. It is probably my favorite best picture winner. But is it objectively the best? Debatable.
  7. Was rooting for Johnny, but I enjoyed Joker’s score very much. Congrats, Hildur!
  8. Kirk Douglas, ‘Spartacus’ Star and Legend of Hollywood’s Golden Age, Dies at 103. Rest in peace.
  9. Yeah, this is definitely fake. Since when has 4Chan ever been a reliable source for anything?
  10. Don’t you think you should actually watch the film before making statements such as this? Also, Phoenix was absolutely mesmerizing in the role. One of his best performances, imo.
